If you’re always looking for the bathroom…

Here’s what can cause it:
🔹 Tight pelvic floor muscles that won’t allow the bladder to fully empty
🔹 Habitual frequent voiding that trains the bladder to signal early
🔹 Nervous system dysregulation triggering urgency
🔹 Dietary triggers or irritation

What we don’t do is tell you to “just do more kegels.”
What we do is assess your habits, your muscle patterns, and what your bladder is actually trying to say.

Bladder issues are common, but they’re never normal. And they are treatable.

Need help figuring out what’s going on? Message me. I’m here to help.

If you’ve tried everything for pelvic pain and nothing’s helped—it might not just be your muscles.

Tension patterns in the pelvic floor are closely tied to how safe your nervous system feels.
➡️ When the body stays stuck in fight-or-flight, muscles never fully relax.
➡️ And when we’re always “on alert,” healing slows way down.

This is why we don’t just stretch tight muscles—we support regulation. That might include:
🌀 breathwork and vagus nerve stimulation
🌀 sensory-based nervous system calming
🌀 trauma-informed strategies that gently teach your body safety again

Pelvic health isn’t just about what’s happening physically. It’s about how your whole system is functioning together.

Curious if this might apply to your experience? Send me a message. We’ll talk through what’s going on.

There’s nothing more validating than hearing a woman say, “Now it all makes sense.”

So many of our clients come to us after months, or years, of being told everything looks “fine,” while they’re still leaking, still in pain, or still feeling like something isn’t right.

This review is from one of those women. She trusted her instincts, and her progress says it all.

If you’ve been told to “just give it more time” or “do a few Kegels,” and that hasn’t helped, there’s more we can do.

Send us a message. We’ll figure it out together.

Some scars don’t just fade with time.
They pull. They burn. They cause pain in places you wouldn’t expect.

Scars, no matter how old, can interfere with fascia, movement, and even the nervous system. Especially deep or surgical scars like c-sections, appendectomies, or laparoscopies.

I see it all the time: people dealing with neck, back, or pelvic pain without realizing the scar is the missing piece.

Scar tissue doesn’t always heal cleanly. That tension can tug on the body in subtle but significant ways, until you treat it directly.

Microcurrent Scar Release is one of the tools I use to soften adhesions, reduce pain, and calm the nervous system. It’s fast, non-invasive, and the changes are measurable.

You’re not being dramatic. If a scar is still bothering you, it’s worth looking into.

📩 Have a scar that just doesn’t sit right? Send me a message and we can talk through what you’re noticing.

Pelvic symptoms are easy to downplay, especially when you've been told they're “normal” after birth, aging, or stress.

But leaking, pressure, and pain that keeps showing up isn't something you just have to live with.

A pelvic floor session isn’t just about treatment.
It’s about taking time to understand what your body is telling you—and starting to shift the patterns behind those symptoms.

If you’ve been dealing with this for a while, and you’re not sure where to begin, you’re not alone.

Feel free to send a message if you have questions about what a session is like or whether this kind of care fits what you’re experiencing.

Future mama’s, save this post!

🌀 It’s common to have a belly for months.
Your uterus shrinks in about 6–8 weeks, but your organs, fascia, and core system take much longer to reorganize.

💨 How you breathe matters.
If baby shoved your diaphragm up under your ribs, it might not be moving well anymore, and that limits how your core system heals.

💡 Your deep core might be offline.
Your transverse abdominus (that deep corset muscle) often gets stretched so much during pregnancy that it essentially “shuts off.” We need to wake it back up.

💪 It’s not just about abs.
Diastasis, posture, and pelvic floor tension are all connected. If the coordination is off, the recovery will be too.

🎯 Support doesn’t mean crunches.
We focus on posture, breathwork, and gently reactivating your deep core system before jumping into anything high intensity.

🧭 There’s always a reason, and a plan.
If your belly still feels off months later, that doesn’t mean something’s wrong with you. It just means your body needs support.

Still looking pregnant longer than you expected?

Let’s be honest—being told to just “hold a warm compress” or “hope for a small baby” isn’t real preparation for birth.

I reject the idea that tearing during delivery is just something we have to accept.

There’s so much more we can do to protect our bodies and prepare for a smoother birth, especially during the second stage of labor. And it starts with actually understanding how your muscles are working.

In my birth prep sessions, we use pelvic floor biofeedback—a tool that helps you see in real time how your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles are functioning. Most people don’t realize it takes practice to lengthen the pelvic floor while engaging the abs. These two muscle groups are used to working together, not in opposite directions.

But learning that control makes a difference. I see it every week. This is especially important if you’ve had pre-existing pelvic floor issues like incontinence, prolapse, or pain.

We don’t guess. We use real data to figure out the positions and techniques that help your body work with—not against—you during birth.

📩 Have questions about how this works or if it’s right for you? Send me a message and I’ll walk you through it.

It’s easy to think bladder leaks are just part of life after having kids. But incontinence doesn’t only affect moms—and it’s never something you just have to put up with.

Leaking happens when the pelvic floor muscles aren’t doing their job. That can be because they’re too tight, too weak, out of sync, or even reacting to stress signals from your nervous system.

You don’t need to wait until it’s "bad enough" to get help.

Pelvic floor therapy isn’t just about doing more Kegels. It’s about figuring out why your body is leaking and giving you the tools to change that.

📩 If you’ve ever felt frustrated by leaking or unsure where to start, send me a message. We’ll talk through what might be going on and how therapy can help.

Why Your Core Workouts Aren’t Helping (and Might Be Making Things Worse)

Pelvic floor therapy helps you retrain the way you breathe, move, and use your core. We look at how your ribs, pelvis, and deep muscles are coordinating, and rebuild that connection safely.

It’s not about doing more. It’s about doing it differently.

If your workouts feel off or leave you more uncomfortable than strong, it might be time to check in with your pelvic floor.

Chronic pain doesn’t always come from one moment—it can come from the way our bodies store trauma long after an injury.

This patient came in years after falling off a horse, with persistent inflammation and scar tissue pain in her pelvis and back.

With a combination of microcurrent stimulation and manual therapy, she experienced significant relief—so much so that months later, she’s still active, riding, and working a physical job without the pain that used to slow her down.

Scar tissue and inflammation can be addressed— even years after the injury.

If you’re dealing with lingering pain from an old injury, or suspect scar tissue may be part of the problem, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to answer your questions.

📩 Message us to learn more about microcurrent therapy and whether it might help in your case.

Toileting struggles can take a toll on the whole household.
When accidents keep happening—even after clean-outs, routines, and reminders—it’s easy to feel like nothing is working.

What many families don’t realize is that the root cause is often missed.
In many cases, it’s chronic constipation, sensory processing or core/pelvic floor dysfunction, not behavior.

When a child withholds stool, it can cause stool impaction, reduced sensation, and even bladder pressure that leads to leaks. Often, they’re not being stubborn—they’re overwhelmed, uncomfortable, or unaware of what their body needs.

Our approach to pediatric pelvic floor therapy focuses on understanding and addressing these root causes—using muscle retraining, biofeedback, sensory regulation, and education that meets each child where they are.

If what you’re trying isn’t working, you’re not alone—and there are other options.

📩 Feel free to message if you have questions about how pelvic floor OT might support your child’s toileting journey.
