I wasn’t looking for help, I wasn’t looking to learn more about my life, I was living my life, until someone came to me and lead me to somewhere that advertises themselves as a bright light, but in reality, it was the darkest hole.
You see, I had a good life, I saw things and experienced things that which I now know from doing therapy, were not healthy. But I still didn’t need help. At least the help that was presented to me and that was the “answer” to all my problems.
I had a big heart, loved the people in my life dearly, but the part that made me susceptible was that I cared way too much about other people and their opinions, over my own.
My desire to be liked by “all”, not truly understanding that it was OK not to be, led me to a hell I never knew existed.
I now know that I had dealt with all of the betrayal, pain, and being discarded by people that said they loved me by stuffing it and acting like nothing was wrong. I was “cool”.
✨I just wanted to be accepted. I just wanted to be seen. I just wanted to be understood.
I now see that is the worst place for anyone like me to be when it comes to anything with personal development, high controlled group mentality, tribe-like mentality, you get the picture.
Where I needed to be was in therapy, learning one on one that those feelings came because of things that happened to me in my childhood as well as my early 20s and to truly see that I don’t need any of that.
So now…after many years of work on my self love and living a life following my heart and alignment….
If I want to be seen, I look in the mirror, if I wanna feel understood, I listen to me, the only person that needs to accept me… is me.
And now I get to help others do the same! Lucky me!!
