Are you in a relationship struggling with differentiation: If so, you may need relationship therapy.

Signs of Healthy Differentiation:

Self-reflection: Making time for your own needs, interests, aspirations, and goals.

Making space for each other: Making time for each other's views, needs, and reflections.

Separating feelings: Being able to separate your feelings from your partner's.

Tolerating differences: Being okay with differences and tolerating tough emotions long enough to resolve conflict with your partner.

Being curious: Partners are curious about each other's feelings, rather than constantly triggered by them.

Differentiation is a process in which partners define themselves to one another. You must be open to growth and honest with yourself and your partner.
