That cheesy goodness! The vernix caseosa doesn’t only provide a protective barrier for fluids in the womb. It can also reduce friction as your baby passes through the birth canal during delivery. So, vernix, we salute you! We honor you and thank you for your services. 😉😆

It’s the summer of girls in my doula world. All 5 babies delivered during these summer months have been girls! The exciting part of that: someday they may have their own babies and their mothers will have the opportunity to share with them their own empowered, peaceful, victorious birth stories. They will be able to receive a different perspective on birth than many others will receive. And this is sweetness to my soul.
