Why I Want to Help Mamas
Having been a mother of multiples in a city where my family was distant, and then, learning that I was going to be pregnant without family nearby and still have 2 two-year-olds to care for, I have experienced the God-glorifying, sacrificial support of other mothers stepping into role model, servant, and friendship roles. It is a type of support and friendship that I had not imagined I could find - and in some of my toughest life moments, nonetheless. My passion is to pass the same support on to other new mothers and their families. I know that a doula can seem inaccessible, so I would like to turn the “I can’t afford that support” and “I don’t deserve that much attention” feelings on their heads. I want to show mamas what true community and compassion look like. I have some of the strongest women on my side, many with the same passion, so I believe we can do this!
