Our community continued our support for Parkinson’s Awareness Month by taking part in the Fighting Parkinson's Step-by-Step Walk. Residents and team members walked together to raise awareness and show support for those living with Parkinson’s.

A truly memorable day of coming together for such an important cause. ❤

Our community came together in a big way for the Pump It for Parkinson's Challenge. The festivities kicked off with a 1K walk in the morning, and residents kept the momentum going throughout the day on the NuStep machine.

Our original goal was to reach 600,000 steps, but thanks to the incredible enthusiasm and energy of 233 residents and staff, we surpassed that goal and reached over 900,000 steps, doubling both participation and total steps from last year!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event such a meaningful and memorable success! Every step we took was a step toward greater awareness for individuals living with Parkinson’s.

On April 9, our residents and staff will be joining NIFS Pump It for Parkinson's! We are excited to participate in this nationwide event that helps raise awareness for the benefits of exercise for those living with Parkinson's disease.

We invite you to join in and be part of the fun:
- Join the kick-off walk at 9:00 AM at the Bell Tower Park
- Sign up for a 15-minute session on the NuStep machine
- Track your own steps using a “step stub”

Our residents recently enjoyed a refreshing hike around Discovery Lake, spending a beautiful day outdoors exploring one of the area’s most scenic walking trails. It was a perfect day on the trail and a wonderful reminder of all the beautiful places the San Diego area has to offer.
