Being able to let go and let God is a powerful tool to avoid staying in resentment or fear. The hard part is realizing when we are getting hooked on a trigger.
I always say that awareness is the first step in any transformation. If we don’t know, we can’t change.

After explaining my entire background and education to a new client, he said, “That means nothing to me. I still don’t understand how you can help me. “
I was stumped. 😳
My whole spiel usually works. 🤔
It made me think and question,
“How do I really help people? “ 🙃
It’s really hard to put into words what I do. 📝
How do you explain plain detective, while releasing the need to know? 😎🤲🏼
How do you explain using all 20 years of education and experience to throw it all out the door when the guidance speaks? 📚✨
How do you tell someone about tests and resources to get to know your self deeply when at the same time you know each and every person is unique? 📋🙏🏼
How do you share science and methodologies while tapping into the unknown and ethereal? ⚗️🔮

So I showed him. I took him through the process. 💎
I don’t know what to call this process but the way he explained it after made me rethink my spiel.
“So, you ask questions to find what’s misaligned and then give perspective and guidance to discover how to get to total alignment with your true self? “

I thought routines were boring…
🪲I grew up in a country where waking alone in the street was extremely unsafe, no matter what time of the day it was.
🪲I believed that if I went the same way every single time, someone could easily predict my patterns, follow me and hurt me.
🪲 What I learned was that it was safer to be unpredictable.
🪲When I moved to a safer environment, I was still acting as if I could be hurt (which is always a possibility but definitely not as likely) and rejecting routines and predictability while labeling them as boring.
🪲Without routines I had no structure and was always improvising (“spontaneous” I called it).
🪲My feeling of safety did not increase but my anxiety did.
🪲If I was in a safer place, why did I still feel unsafe?
🪲This led to a need to control my environment so it could be manageable.
🪲Not only did I still feel unsafe but I was also becoming stressed and a control freak 😩
🪲***what’s with the 🪲? I don’t know, I like it, 😁 Ok, I digressed***
🪲Anyway, lack of routine and structure was creating a lot of stress for me.
🪲And as much as I thought routines were boring and took a lot of work to set up, I began using them to help me live life with ease.
🪲I started organizing my life in a way that I knew what to expect.
🪲This allowed me to relax a bit and manage my expectations.
🪲Routines and structures don’t have to be rigid. What we need is just something the brain can look forward to and anticipate.
🪲Sort of like knowing that the sun will come out tomorrow.
🪲Because if we know what to expect, we feel certainty.
🪲This is different than control (which it’s a topic for another post)
🪲 Creating routine helps our mind relax and not have to make ANOTHER decision.
🪲We are subconsciously making so many decisions that our mind gets overwhelmed and stressed.
🪲 A structured day brings ease, routines create hope.
Routines and structure can be simplified and flexible. I can share with you some examples of how my life became more simple and easier with a few simple routines. Let me know if you need help with this and I’ll post some examples.

A lot of us suffer from the need to impress others to avoid rejection.

We buy things, get degrees, credentials, and post about our best lives to the world so we can appear good enough.

This stems from a painful childhood experience which our inner child re-enacts every time we feel unsafe.
🙁
Our inner child is simply letting us know that our current situation is triggering a painful past experience and that we need process it and receive unconditional acceptance.
🥰
Biologically, when we experience this fear of rejection our amygdala is engaged.
🧠
The amygdala is responsible for processing emotional memories, so when we experience perceived fear and pain, the amygdala and past emotional stories are activated.
💪🏼
This means that the current experience would not trigger us if it was not related to a painful event in our past.
🤯
Mastering our fear and processing our past requires re-activating the amygdala in a calm, grounded state.
💆🏻‍♀️
This can be achieved by the act of being present with our emotions and becoming the non judgmental observer of our process.
🧘🏻‍♀️
In a safe environment, we can witness the past shifting and our stories no longer triggering us.
🧖‍♂️
The stories then become just that, stories, and no longer affect our reactions and interactions.
📚
A method I often find extremely helpful is journaling.
📝
When journaling without censoring ourselves, we are witnessing our pain and our stories from unconditional acceptance.

This is powerful enough to heal your pain and change your story.

Do you know yourself?

Knowing yourself is being present with yourself so you can recognize why you think, feel and act the way you do.

Knowing yourself is learning deeply why you feel the way you that you feel, and react the way that you do.

Knowing yourself goes beyond being aware that you behave in certain ways.

It’s understanding why you do what you do and the roots of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

Oftentimes we are not able to see ourselves until someone points it out to us.

If that someone is one who we are trying to impress, then we become defensive and reject their observation.

We tend to open up more to someone who is objective and not emotionally involved with us, a book author, a counselor or a coach, who can give us objective perspective and transformative insight.

The important thing is to get to know yourself so you can shift towards what you desire most.
✨Without self-knowledge there is not true personal growth.

When I’m in control, I don’t trust life.
.
Control shows up in many subtle ways masked as perfectionism, anger, passiveness, overthinking and overworking.
.
Control gives us a false sense of safety.
.
We control our environment, how events are played out, how we express ourselves, how we feel, even other people!
.
We control because we want to know what to expect. Uncertainty is dreadful!
.
We control because we have had painful experiences that makes us fear the unexpected.
.
But control only blocks the flow of life, it blocks opportunities coming our way and the emotions we desire to experience.
.
It blocks other people from loving us, from experiencing joy, and many other amazing state of being that are our true right.
.
How do we let go of control?
.
One bit at a time. One moment at a time.
.
Try this:
1. Become aware of your controlling nature
2. Address every single moment your control tendencies expresses itself
3. Notice how the mind starts to justify the reasons for controlling
4. And lastly breathe, let go and understand that everything will be OK.
.
Remind yourself of the goodness that exists all around you and how things have turned out to be ok without your intervention.
.
Let go and let God.

There is something about that sense of relief and empowerment you feel after you have faced something you’ve been avoiding for a looong time. ✅
I had to make some changes to my payroll and I’ve been avoiding it because my mind told me it was going to be way more complicated than it really is. 🙄
And you would think that ignoring my mind would make me feel better... Not.
My mind would not let go until was complete. 🧠
It may not have been in the forefront of my mind but it was there... nagging at me, reminding me what a procrastinator I am, telling me that “they” are disappointed in me.
And every time I remembered that I had to make that call, I felt both dread and embarrassment. 🙇🏻‍♀️
Not the feeling of self empowerment I strive for.
I got tired of the feelings my mind’s comments would evoke so I took a stand to face my fears.
I made that call. 📞
And it felt great! 💃
It felt like I was taking control back of my life and not letting my mind and my fears control me. 💪🏼
It felt like I was stepping into the truth of who I am, as corny as it sounds.
I’m becoming more and more aware of how our minds control us, our egos... and I am changing that. 📝
More and more I’m letting life guide me to follow the flow and ease that comes with trusting.

So, I got pulled over... 👮
And I found out something that I didn’t expect. ✨
Read on.
I was speeding and I deserved to be pulled over.
🙇🏻‍♀️
My immediate thought was, I was not being mindful and that’s why. I didn’t see the officer.
☝🏼 yes and no.

Honestly I was prepared to receive the consequence of my action, a ticket, but the officer gave me a warning instead.
😳
That surprised me.
And it made me ask deeper, why did this really happen? Why did I really get pulled over?
🚓
The realization shook me.
😩
I decided to tap into my subconscious mind to find out. I used this awareness tool that I want to share with you:
💫
I kept asking why...
💫
Here is what I got:

- Why was I speeding?
I was in a rush to get to my destination because I had left late.
- Why did I leave late?
Because I was trying to take care of too many things at the same time.
- Why did I have to?
Because I felt unsupported, like no one else would do it, or do it in a way that was not helpful to me.
- Why did I feel unsupported?
Because I like things a certain way, I like to be in control so I put too much on my plate.
- Why do I like being in control?
Because it makes feel safe...
😔
So... I manifested a peace officer to bring all of this to my awareness and to also remind me:
🙏🏼 to slow down
🙏🏼 to ask for help
🙏🏼 to let go
and that I am safe. 🙏🏼

You may think I’m overthinking this - and maybe I am, but I believe that life is full of synchronized moments to help us co-create a reality that works for our wellbeing.
When we pay attention, we discover the trickle effects every action has in our lives and we can make appropriate changes to live a better and happier existence.

With awareness we can tap into subconscious programming that block us from getting what we desire -peace, love, health, abundance. With awareness we can make changes and move forward while being present in our lives.

Friends tell me that I trust too much or that I am naive. That’s not true. ☝🏼
I am not naive. What I do is that I see people’s light and potential and believe in their capacity to let it shine. ⭐️
When people are given the opportunity to show their best self, they do, in my experience. 😃
I do the same for my clients. Honestly, what’s the point of bringing out all of their faults and mistakes when they do that all on their own? 😩
My clients (as myself) want to know how to get ride of the junk and improve their lives. 💩
What I have learned is that we often forget to see how much we’ve accomplished and improved and beat ourselves up for our mistakes. ☀️
Seeing other people’s light is giving them hope, in my opinion. ✨
It’s not ignoring facts, it’s seeing beyond the facts.
To do this effectively you need boundaries and self care. ⛅️
You need to know when you are giving too much and how to love yourself unconditionally. ❤️
