My Vision for Healing
At the very beginning of creating Sacred Transformations® in 2006, I stepped into the role as a full time professional energy healer. I also envisioned teaching many other practitioners the art of energy healing with a grand goal of making it an established profession that is honored just as much as doctors and nurses in the western medical model.
This was important to me for several reasons. First, when I was overcoming several life illnesses in the ‘90’s, I found energy healing treatments to be a profound gift that led me back to health. Second, I found when engaging with other healers, that some lacked confidence to step in this role at a professional level. Whereas, on the other end of the spectrum, I found those that claimed they were experts when, in truth, they were ineffectual. In both of these cases, I found that the problems stemmed from poor training that was either unstructured or simply made up without any research supporting the instructions.
From these observations, I began compiling information and research, which has continued for over 20 years. Along with my years of hands-on experience, I created two energy healing programs that are based on a solid, structured format, which draws from Reiki, Shamanism, and Five-Element theory. In addition, while undergoing my own healing journey in the ‘90’s, I also observed that even though some healers did amazing work, they lacked professional communication skills. I also found that therapists didn’t seem to have an adequate understanding of how emotions were stored in the body and were ineffective in teaching techniques to manage my anxiety that simply didn’t take hold. I found myself spread thin financially and time wise to piece together my own healing. At times, it felt like a full-time job. To say the least, it was a bit frustrating.
For this reason, I wanted to offer in-depth services to my own clients that brought energy healing and professional therapy together. I pursued a Masters degree in Social Work and focused my training on trauma, abuse and Post-traumatic Stress disorder. I am currently practicing as a coach.
