What a week! That’s a wrap on National Health Center Week 2025 and what an incredible celebration it’s been! 💙🎉

A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us in celebrating and raising awareness for the vital role community health centers play in keeping our communities healthy.

60 years ago, seven courageous mothers stood up for their families and built what didn’t exist, community-driven care for those who needed it most.

Today, we honor their legacy by continuing the work they began. Community Health Centers like San Ysidro Health are expanding care and breaking barriers but this work is getting harder as critical federal and state funding is being cut.

Our communities still need access to care, and that need is growing.

Now more than ever, we need everyone to help carry this vision forward. The next 60 years start with us.❤️

Every August, National Health Center Week shines a spotlight on America’s health centers, celebrating their past, present, and future as they serve communities across the country.🏥

This year’s theme, “America’s Health Centers: Celebrating Past, Present, and Future,” honors 60 years of community health centers transforming lives and improving health for millions.

San Ysidro Health’s story began in 1969, when seven determined mothers opened a small clinic in San Ysidro. Today, we’re proud to serve more than 160,000 patients across San Diego County through a network of over 50 clinics and program sites.
