Wrapping up with a beautiful family who brought me in for a week of overnight postpartum support with their one-week-old baby girl… and here we are, 5 months later. 🤍

When I arrived, mama and papa were running on empty—holding baby around the clock because she couldn’t stand being put down. They were doing shifts just to survive.

By night one, she slept two-hour stretches in her bassinet between feeds. 🤭 A few nights later? Four. Before we knew it… she was sleeping through the night.✨

From navigating sleep to reflux, food sensitivities, latch struggles, and the emotional weight of returning to work—this family leaned in and trusted me. I walked alongside them through the fourth trimester and beyond.

But the hardest part? The goodbye. 💔
After months of building trust, holding space, and walking beside families during one of life’s most intimate transitions, parting ways never gets easier. These babies and parents take a piece of my heart with them every time.
Honored to do this work. Forever grateful for the families who invite me in.

Truth is…you can’t get rid of me. I’ll be there to check in, send happy birthdays or drop off my homemade natural remedies in a jiffy. It takes a village and we’re here to be apart of yours🫶🏼

📚✈️ In-flight reading for the soul and the caregiver 💜

“Mother Hunger” and “The Happiest Kids in the World” are my two tag along for this time away.

As a travel nanny and postpartum guide, I’m always chasing insight into how we raise secure, joyful, world-ready humans—with less stress and more trust.

Mother Hunger•
This book explores the invisible wounds caused by unmet emotional needs between mother and daughter—what the author calls “Mother Hunger.” It focuses on three essential things every child needs from a mother:
• Nurturance (emotional warmth and attunement)
• Protection (feeling safe)
• Guidance (secure support while growing up)

When these needs are unmet, it can show up in adulthood as anxiety, insecure attachment, self-doubt, or relationship struggles. McDaniel offers gentle insight and validation, as well as a roadmap for healing and self-compassion.

This book helps you understand the deeper layers of mother-child relationships and how healing your own or your clients’ attachment wounds can make you a more grounded, emotionally available caregiver.

The Happiest Kids in The World•
This book dives into why Dutch children consistently rank as the happiest in the world. It credits a parenting style that’s:
• Low-pressure
• Play-based
• Emotionally relaxed
• Focused on balance over perfection

Dutch parents don’t over-schedule, over-discipline, or over-control. Kids are given freedom to explore, fail, and just be kids. Family meals, outdoor play, and a good night’s sleep are more important than grades or achievements. I personally take on a child led, play based learning approach heavily nature based so this book is an all encompassing read.

This reinforces the power of simplicity, nature-based learning, and trusting children to lead. It’s a reminder that we don’t need to do more to raise joyful, secure kids—we may need to do less, with more presence.
