I thought I would start giving you all some details as to a lot of my staple ingredients that I add into my smoothies everyday. I start everyday with my delicious smoothies as a healthy part to kick start my day. Smoothies are fast, easy, full of nutrition, and you can take them on the go with you if you run out of the house very early like myself.
So I got hooked on chia seeds about 3 years back after I started to become more familiar with the word and read a book on chia seeds from my library. Glad I did so! The book was fantastic and I learned a lot from it. Chia seeds are now easily found in most grocery stores packed or in the bulk foods section. These mighty seeds are packed with vital nourishment. They boost your energy from all the antioxidants, proteins, omega 3 fats, fiber and vitamins and minerals they contain. They contain calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. The nutrition inside of them also boosts your metabolic health. They also help you fill full so you are less likely to continue eating unhealthy foods or reaching or snacks. Chia seeds are low calorie and easy to add to many foods that you already eat. Sprinkle them on top of already to eat foods, blend them up in smoothies, soak them in your beverages. They can be eaten alone too. Now you have many new ways to start adding this superfood to your daily meals.
