🎉 Award-Winning Breakthrough in Breast Reconstruction! 🎉

We’re thrilled to share that our latest published research on biosynthetic mesh in breast reconstruction has been honored with the 2025 Ruben F. Gittes, MD Award for Excellence in Research, presented by and Scripps Clinic Medical Group. 

We are elated to have been
included to participate alongside Dr. Cyril Harfouche, General Surgery resident at Navy Balboa Medical Hospital and Dr. Sal Pacella, Professor of Surgery at Scripps Clinic and Scripps Green Hospital. 

In this comprehensive study entitled “A Comparison of Ovine-Reinforced Hybrid Mesh (OviTex PRS) With Porcine Acellular Dermal Matrix (STRATTICE) in the Treatment of Advanced Breast Implant Capsular Contracture,” we evaluated OviTex versus Strattice biosynthetic meshes in patients with advanced capsular contracture. Our findings highlight low complication rates and high success rates using OviTex in the treatment of advanced capsular contracture.
These results underscore biosynthetic mesh as a safe, effective, and cost-efficient alternative to traditional materials such as Strattice for breast capsules.
