After her studies in France, she moved to San Diego, Californiain 1997. Starting her journey as a Sous Chef for Waters Catering, she expanded her love of all

For over 18 years in San Diego, Chef Jessica cooked for a variety of clients with various health and dietary issues to manage. During this span of almost two decades, she was able to assist people from many different walks of life turn around their health and overcoming their nutritional challenges. Her clients ranged from families with young children with epilepsy to adults with various health issues, to professional athletes, to single bachelors. In 2015, She worked with San Diego Cancer Institute as a volunteer for survivors teaching them the skills to transition to a new way of living. In 2016, Chef Jessica created programs on how to be your own personal chef, all while still working with her own clients. After almost 17 years of running her own business, Chef Jessica realized she wanted to share what she had learned with others. Not just with clients on how to do it themselves, some people will need support at various times. She realized, she needed to share her knowledge about starting a personal chef business. The demand for personal chefs increases each year and as she saw other chefs in the industry struggling, she wanted to help them create their own businesses and thrive. In 2018, Chef Jessica began creating the online course, The Prosperous Personal Chef. While creating her online course, after growing her business for over 18 years, Jessica was offered and accepted a full-time corporate position in health care as the executive chef at a small hospital in Laguna Hills. She felt it was a good segue into the corporate world of culinary. Little did she know we were on the verge of a pandemic. After almost two years of learning the corporate side of the cooking world, Covid 19 hit. Chef Jessica saw how deeply shattered her brothers and sisters were in the restaurant and hotel industry had been. Every day, another restaurant closed, another cook lost his job, and some were even taking their own lives out of desperation. While there is no perfect answer, Chef Jessica knew that being a personal chef is the perfect pivot for many cooks, chefs, and talented home cooks. The Prosperous Personal Chef had been put on hold, but Jessica felt a strong sense of urgency to finish what she had begun two years earlier. At the same time, she knew she had to return to her passion as a personal chef helping people change the trajectory of their health challenges and find a new passion for wellness. She left the corporate world in 2021 and went back to working one on one with clients and completing her courses and offerings. After completing the online course, Chef Jessica went on to create more products and offerings for personal chefs. You have tried so many things.
And you are still here searching.

That is not failure.

That is someone who has never been given the right strategy.

I am Chef Jessica, nutritional chef and metabolic strategist. I do not hand people plans. I learn their life, their frustrations, what they actually like to eat, what their family looks like, where everything has fallen apart before, and I build something completely around that.

My clients have shed up to 30 pounds in just a few months.

No restriction. No prescriptions.

Just food that finally works for who they actually are.

If you have been waiting for something that was actually built for you, check the link in bio.

The #1 thing you can do for your health? Cook at home. It sounds simple, but this one habit is a game changer for your body, your metabolism, and your long-term results.

Everyone wants the overnight transformation. Everyone wants the weight gone by the weekend. But the reality is, this is a journey. Real, lasting weight loss is like turning a boat. You don't spin on a dime. You make intentional moves, you stay consistent, and slowly but surely you start heading in the right direction.

The more you build a routine rooted in positive choices, the more solidified your results become. Not just weight loss, but real healing from the inside out. And it starts with something as powerful and as personal as cooking your own food. You know what's in it. You control the ingredients. You are literally fueling your transformation one meal at a time.

Stop chasing fast results and start building the life your body deserves. Every home-cooked meal moves you closer to shore.

This is my favorite weight loss hack when I want something quick, filling, and actually effective.
It takes less than 5 minutes and keeps me full for hours.

1 cup 0% Greek yogurt + ½ cup berries + 1-2 tsp psyllium + a little allulose
Macros (approx):
150–170 calories
17g protein
10–12g carbs
6–8g fiber
0g fat

This is the kind of meal that makes it easier to stay consistent without feeling hungry all day.

Weight loss is a skill.

Just like anything else, it’s something you learn, practice, and get better at over time.

It’s not about cutting everything out or living in restriction. It’s about understanding what your body needs and learning how to apply it in a way that fits your real life.

You can still enjoy the foods you love and lose weight. You just have to be strategic.

If you’re ready to stop the diet cycle and finally learn how to do this in a way that lasts, I’m taking on a limited number of clients.

I walk with you step by step so you can build a system that works for life.

Most people don’t lack discipline. They’re following plans that were never designed for their body or their life.

Did January fly by for anyone else? I swear it was just New Year’s and suddenly it’s over.

When I slowed down and looked back, there were some really good wins to share.

One of them was being interviewed by Bold Journey. They reached out and asked if I’d share my story, which felt really validating after years of quietly building behind the scenes. If you’re curious, here’s the article:

The win that changed my daily life was my 16 year old got his driver’s license. After driving kids to school and everywhere else for years, in a district with no buses, this one deserves its own celebration. Parents in this season will get it immediately.

And then there’s the thing I didn’t expect. I launched my Skool community on creating divine health and losing weight with ease and alignment. Networking there has been so fun! I’ve met some really interesting new people, had great conversations, and it’s reminded me how energizing it is to be in spaces where people are building things. It is totally different from the division social media. Meeting new people at my age is exciting!

If you need support with making weight loss easy and aligned with your likes, dislikes, goals, culture, and more, let's connect either in my group or over a call.

All in all it was a great way to start the year! What was your biggest win in the start of the year?

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jessica Leibovich a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below. Jessica, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisd

Just because something is "healthy" doesn't mean it fits your goals.

Quinoa? Complete protein, super nutritious - but calorie-dense. If weight loss is your goal, portions matter.

Salmon? Amazing omega-3s... IF it's wild-caught. Farmed salmon is often fed poor-quality feed, and can have more fat than your burger.

Pico de gallo? Almost a free food. Volume, flavor, minimal calories.

This is why you need nutrition strategy just healthy food.

After 25 years as a nutritional chef and strategist, I've learned: context matters. Your goals matter. Understanding HOW foods fit into YOUR strategy matters.

Healthy ≠ one-size-fits-all.

What "healthy" food have you been eating that might not be serving your actual goals?

01/06/2026

Food gets complicated when we don’t understand what our body actually needs.

So we guess, we overthink, and weight loss starts to feel harder than it should.

When you support your metabolic health with food that fuels your body and tastes good, energy improves and weight becomes easier to maintain.

That’s the difference between short-term results and something that lasts.

If weight loss feels exhausting, it’s probably not you. It’s the plan.
Most people don’t fail because they lack discipline.
They burn out because they’re following a generic strategy that was never built for their life.
A plan that ignores your schedule, stress, preferences, hormones, and real habits will always feel like force.
And force never lasts.
Real progress comes from customization.
What you eat. How much. When.
It has to fit your body and your life, not an idealized version of you.
After 25 years of working with people of all ages and health backgrounds, this is the difference I see every time.
Weight loss doesn’t work when you try harder.
It works when the strategy finally fits.
If you’re tired of starting over, this is why.
