In general, naturopaths usually advocate for avoiding water DURING mealtimes because it can dilute your stomach acid, leading to impaired digestive function. We also know thatproper stomach acid production is essential to blood sugar regulation,
so this could be a major reason that we see higher spikes when we dilute our stomach acid with water.
There is alot more to be studied to fully understand this mechanism. But Thanksgiving is right around the corner and having a plan around consuming those holiday sweets is a good idea, especially if you have
