I learned about tension headaches from my mother, when she would lay in the quiet dark for hours until they went away. Soon followed by my own tension, as my shoulders got intimate with my earlobes. Then found tension could be shared between others, when I felt the air flex and conversation stop.
It’s such a funny thing, tension. A few moments of uncomfortable pressure and the laugh is that much bigger, the s*x that much better, the sigh of relief melts you more. Or accurately placed tautness and you feel supported and strong.
If you’re feeling the tension, try looking at it from a different angle. Use it to get you somewhere or just remember a big laugh might be hiding in the next breath.
