Improving Access to Mental Health Support!
I’m so excited to be branching into the world of digital therapy... you might have heard it referred to as Tele-mental health, E-therapy, Virtual Therapy, Online Therapy... whatever you want to call it, it’s simply meeting with your therapist over live video instead of in person!! This might make some people feel awkward to think about... but the reality is that so many people forego mental health care because they simply do not have time for “another thing” on their plate... the amazing thing about digital therapy is that sessions can take place whenever it works for you... like on your morning commute (telephone sessions only :) or during your lunch break, maybe the only time you can carve out is after you’ve put your kids to bed... there is no need to worry about childcare or whether or not you’re going to miss half the session because of traffic... As a working mom myself- I am right there with you- and that’s why I feel so passionately about this form of therapy!!!
