Let’s talk ... G I F T S.
It’s 2019 now,
& anything... more like everything.. is at our fingertips.
So, how did that change the way we gave & received gifts this holiday season?
Well, as I challenged myself to strive for minimalism, & experience based gifts, I wanted to share what I got this holiday season.
1) Handmade gifts - Deodorant, Makeup remover & wipes by Anna (for Rachel & I)!! + A super cute planner to keep me focused this year.
{Ingredients:
Deodorant - Coconut Oil, Beeswax,Cocoa Butter, Corn Starch,Baking Soda, Essential Oils (She used Tea Tree & Lavender). + A recycled deodorant container!!
Makeup Remover - Jojaba & Coconut Oils}
2) My dad gave me & my sister the BEST gift this year. He purchased a female cow for villagers in a remote & poverty stricken part of Asia. It will aid in their earnings, living, & survival. Since traveling there last year for 5 months, this gift was r e m a r k a b l y heartfelt.
3) Yoga Mat & Towel + Photo - This gift will always be near & dear to my heart. The yoga equipment will get SO much use in my new apartment. My friend got this for all my friends who lived together my senior year of college. A lovely daily reminder for me to have while living far away from them!
4) My mom got me the AMAZING gift of dance classes for Christmas. I am SO excited. Pictured is me at in my first dance class in over a year.
I’m SO proud of what I both gave & received this year. Less packaging, more use. Less for me, more for others. I am so happy to have friends & family who understand me well enough to take the way I live into account!
How did you give differently this year? 🎁
Love,
G
