The difference between fact and opinion can be confusing. People are passionate about their beliefs. Especially when it comes to women’s fertility. Whether you should and how you should. In this class we don’t go ‘shoulding all over people’. Lets sort some of this out in a BABE in person, evidence based, PRO YOUR CHOICE childbirth preparation class.

There are so many benefits for birthing person and baby to go into spontaneously. The pregnant body releases a hormone to baby (catecholemines) to help baby deal with the stress of labor. Baby does not get this when we force labor with an induction. Of course if induction is medically necessary it’s worth every step of the way. But often its because the ARRIVE study (Grobman et al) was linked to a possible lower cesarean rate. The seduction of induction. Many BENEFITS to go into labor naturally!!

40 weeks gestation is an average. Most 1st time pregnant people will go into labor between weeks 41 & 42. Yet todays OB providers will offer induction at 39 weeks 😵‍💫Its normal, ok and expected to go post dates. Lets not say OVERDUE anymore. Support your pregnant people to trust their bodies and babies and be patient.
