I'm happier than a tick on a fat dog; my new Umpqua pattern is officially available. My Reservoir Dog is in the bins at Anglers All, which is an early release! (Thank you Umpqua). In person or online, get 'em now! Have them ready for early spring ice off!

I am forever grateful and super excited to announce I have a new streamer pattern added to the Umpqua catalog. The Reservoir Dog will be in bins this spring! This is an articulated one hook streamer, built on an XSeries 420, salt grade forged hook, in a size 4. This thing will dip, duck, bob, weave... and walk like your cute little puppy dog. If you've seen the movie Reservoir Dogs, then you get it...if you haven't, we will wait for you..🤓🤓 OK, now that we are all on the same page, no Mr. Pink isn't present...that is a topic for another post. Soon though!!
You can chuck this all day. It's unweighted & very light, so an assortment of intermediate lines will be the way to go.

Anything that will eat a small baitfish is in play...largemouth, smallies, crappie, trout, pike, perch. You tell me!

Here we go! I'm getting a late start this year (my apologies), but we can still get it done! We have roughly 30 days for me to raise some dough for our beloved Denver South Platte, aka, THE DSP! We raise money annually for the livelihood of our urban river. This carp on the fly tournament helps restore the health and habitat of Denver South Platte River and supports our environmental education programs, which helps fund our continued fight for pollution protection on our home waterway. Bottom line, not everyone wants to fight for their local urban watershed, and we are in the percentage of those across the country that WANT to. We can't do this alone, which is why we need you!
I have been involved at many levels, controller, slamateur and pro...this is such a feel good event.
Here we are, it's that awkward moment in the post where I ask you for a donation. Good news? Any amount helps and adds up! I have a link in my bio, which takes you to my fundraising page, and if you feel inclined to donate, it is so appreciated. 🤝🏻👊🏻

Well the first annual Jurassic Flats Carp Clave is in the books! THANK YOU to for putting on one hell of an event. They absolutely rolled out the red carpet for us and it will not be forgotten. If you weren't able to make this one, add a reminder in your calendar for next year!! You DO NOT want to miss any of the upcoming Carp Claves. Thank you to all those who attended, you were awesome!!! and are equally as fishy as they are good humans, great cats to have met and to fish with as we move forward on this journey.
Where are you going to be next April? That's right, see you there!!

Join House of Fly and Fly Project on Saturday, April 20, 2024, for the Inaugural Jurassic Flats Carp Clave at the Sage Center in Boardman, OR.
The day's not over when the presentations end. Although fishing the Columbia River isn't part of this event, we encourage you to explore the area and find out what makes Boardman, OR such a unique fishery. After spending some time on the water join us, the presenters and our brand reps at Two Barrels Taps and Grill from 6pm-10pm.
