Story Sharing🏮 Offering First Incense — Blessings for the Whole Family 🏮
Two years ago, during a Tai Sui year, my husband collapsed and was rushed to the ICU. As doctors fought to save him, I stood alone in the hospital corridor, completely helpless. He survived — but the fear never truly left me.
In 2025, we both entered our zodiac year. On Lunar New Year’s Eve, we brought our children and both sets of parents to the Kepong Bodhi Meditation Center to offer the First Incense and chant in prayer. 🕯️🙏
I made one wish — peace and safety for our family. Soon after, subtle but undeniable changes began to unfold.
Our 18-year-old daughter, once anxious about university admissions, was accepted into medical school. 🎓 Our other children became more focused and motivated in their studies.
My husband, who works in sales, had struggled for years in a slow market. New clients were almost impossible to secure. Then in March, a benefactor unexpectedly introduced a major client. His sales increased by 30%. 📈
Colleagues joked, “Did you burn some powerful incense?”
He smiled and said, “No — I simply offered the First Incense at New Year.”
As for me, I’ve run a tuition center for 16 years. Enrollment had been declining amid fierce competition. This year, parents began referring students on their own. Within a short time, we filled all 24 spots — the first time in 16 years we had to stop accepting registrations. 🏫✨
Looking back, that single incense offering on New Year’s Eve felt like the turning point. For 2026, we’ve already made our plan — spend New Year’s Eve at the meditation center again to offer the First Incense, chant, and pray. 🌅🙏
