My work is rooted in lived experience. I know what it’s like to have a nervous system shaped by stress and survival - and I also know what it’s like to gently come back into safety, choice, and self-trust.

Yoga became a way for me to reconnect with my body in a kind, non-forceful way, and that continues to shape how I teach and offer training.

I’m passionate about boundaries, consent, and helping people feel empowered rather than forced or pressured.

Whether I’m teaching yoga locally, online or traveling to share it, my intention is always the same: to support people in discovering their own inner steadiness, resilience, and potential.

My relationship with yoga didn’t start with ease, it was shaped by having to learn safety from the inside out.

For a long time, my nervous system didn’t experience environments as places to relax into.

It was when I needed to slow down that yoga became more than guided movement - it became a way to gently rebuild trust with my body, to listen instead of push, and to discover what it feels like to be supported from within.

That’s why the way I teach and offer training that is rooted in choice, boundaries, and gentle nervous-system awareness.

Healing doesn’t happen through force. It happens when we feel safe enough to soften, breathe, and reconnect.

So many of us learned to ignore the body’s signals in order to keep going. In traditional movement spaces, rest can feel like failure. But in trauma-informed yoga, pausing is wisdom. It’s your nervous system saying, “I need care right now.”

This week's class was designed to encourage supported rest for regulating the nervous system as we step into a New Year. All invitations are optional and the practice gently guides you into reflective moments of pauses, adjustments and connection. If you are new to Yoga Nidra, this class is perfect. It truly holds space for optional rest without advanced mindful exercises.
