WS Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit The WS PEHSU was created when the University of California, San Francisco PEHSU and the University of California, Irvine PEHSU were merged in 2015.

The WS PEHSU at University of California San Francisco is a team of healthcare professionals, and public health practitioners passionate about best practices & equity for reproductive & children’s environmental health. We serve clinicians and the community in California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Palau, the republic of the Marshall Islands and more than 150 tribal nations contained therein (Region 9). We are part of a network of PEHSUs across North America dedicated to providing expertise on the connection between reproductive and children’s environmental health, and the environment.
