Overall, le***an, gay, bisexual and transgender adults smoke at rates up to 2.5 times higher than straight adults, due in part to target marketing by Big To***co. For years the to***co industry has tried to appeal to this population thru event sponsorships, ads in LGBT press, cigarette giveaways and other free industry merchandise.

BUT! in 2017 San Francisco Pride adopted a to***co-free policy and has since refused to***co industry funding. It is now a completely to***co-free event in accordance with city law and it's becoming a trend among other Pride festivals around the country. Read more at #truthinitiative #CDCTips

Mental health has too long been stigmatized and separated from physical health when, actually, a person's overall wellbeing depends on both. Most things we do affect both--what we eat, what we drink and whether we smoke to name a few. Quit or encourage someone to quit smoking; it will improve health in every way!
