I am Sean Kennedy, LCSW, I have been working as a clinical social worker for the past six years. I bring with me four of experience in chemical addiction. During my time as a substance abuse social worker, I have developed the skills such as compassion and empathy that makes me the therapist I am today. I currently hold a Master Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. I also hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the City College of New York. We all develop different ways of dealing with stress, low self-esteem, and anger that are not either socially acceptable or makes us feel worse in the long term. I teach my clients different ways of resolving tension, work place stress, low self esteem, and anger that are socially acceptable and leaves the person with a sense of accomplishment and self worth. I use approaches such as Cognitive Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behvioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Talk Therapy to assist you in your issues. I work with clients suffering from PTST (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), race issues, depression, social anxiety, anger management, and gender identity issues.
