Peak Pose: Crane

Level 1: Knees to triceps. Place your palms on the mat shoulder width distance apart and bend your elbows straight back like chaturanga. Come high on your toes and place your knees on the backs of your arms. Play with leaning forward.

Level 2: Lift toes. Shift the weight forward into your palms. Round the spine like Cat Pose and hover your toes off the mat. Keep your elbows tracking straight back.

Level 3: Heels to butt. Tip the chest forward and keep the gaze 6 inches beyond your fingertips. Lift the hips high, so high you think you might fall forward. Fingertips are your brakes. Draw the heels to the b***y.

Level 4: Straighten arms. Keep your shoulders in front of your wrists and start to press the arms straight. The only way to achieve this is by engaging the pelvic floor so the arms aren’t resting so much as hovering on the triceps. Hips are higher than you thought possible. Every muscle in your body is on. Yes. You’re doing this.
