When I embarked upon the path of Teacher Training in (2003? 2004? - I don't remember now, but I was officially certified in 2007) - I wasn't sure I wanted to be a yoga teacher, I just knew I wanted to go deeper in my yoga practice. My early training was so thorough and of the highest integrity - and yet it didn't include what has now become my area of expertise: Trauma-Informed Yoga. How do we teach in a way that respects and safely supports the many life experiences we come to the yoga mat with? How can we use yoga to heal trauma in our brains, to regulate when we are triggered, when deep trauma stored in the body is brought to the surface? I'm thrilled that modern day studio trainings are finally including this important piece. And I'm thrilled to be leading part of this amazing 200 hour Yoga Immersion and Teacher Training at The Mindful Body in San Francisco. It starts soon, and there is still time to take the leap!
The lead teacher is Caroline Kelley who I adore! She is creating such a clear container for community and learning. And there is Cora Wen! Matt Champoux! Kari Bookin Marble! Priya Glikman! Such an honor to be amongst this group.
Weekend program designed for work/life balance.
A life changing experience of self discovery, being in community, and deepening your yoga practice. For practitioners ready to explore further and for those interested in sharing yoga with others.
