Our Story

My style is collaborative, emotionally supportive and informed by problem solving and in-depth approaches. As a solo private practitioner I accept new clients who have no doubt they want to live, who are able to meet their daily needs, and who don’t have active substance addictions. This level of resilience suggests that people can tolerate the emotional activation needed to make changes. I accept some insurance and third party payment. Please my website for a list of in-network insurers. The Writing tab on my website also has many helpful articles. Specialties: • Individual Psychotherapy for transitions, mild to moderate depression, stress management, relationship issues, individuation; grief and loss, aging; spiritual and religious concerns. • Couples and Marriage Therapy. Moving from conflict to conversation and problem-solving. Healing from infidelity and codependence. Grappling with the mystery of romantic love, including difficulty experiencing or expressing passion. Addressing money issues; stress, illness, trauma. • Spiritual and Religious Concerns. Connecting psychologically with personal spirituality or religious sense, regardless of religion or spiritual affiliation. Member board of directors, certified mental health practitioner for ACISTE (American Center for Integrating Spiritually Transformative Experiences) • Overcoming Writer's or Creative Block. • Healing moderate trauma using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy modality • Teaching self-calming and contemplation, including meditation, mindfulness, journaling, CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy)
