Sometimes what we call weakness is actually exhaustion.
Your body, mind, and heart may be asking for rest, not criticism.

Strength doesn’t mean ignoring limits.
It means responding to them with compassion.

Heart to Art Collective exists because I know what it feels like to carry too much quietly.

To want faith and healing, but not always have the words.

To look strong on the outside and feel exhausted on the inside.

This space was created for people who feel tender, overwhelmed, or unsure, and still want room to grow.

You don’t need to be fixed to be here.

You’re already welcome.

Creative Expression Workshops aren’t about performance or productivity.
They’re about presence.
They’re about creating space for what’s already there.
This is a place where weakness isn’t rushed, creativity isn’t judged, and people are met with gentleness.
You just show up as you are, and that's enough. 💖

We’re often taught to push through, hold it together, and stay strong. But 2 Corinthians 12:9 tells a different story.

God’s power shows up most clearly in our weakness.

If you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed, or unsure this month, let this be your permission to lean instead of striving.

💛 Grace is already meeting you there.

I used to believe strength meant holding it all together. Looking capable. Sounding certain. Standing tall, no matter the cost.

This poem came from a season when I was exhausted from pretending. From realizing that the pedestal I stood on was one I built myself… and that it was only a matter of time before I fell.

What I’m still unlearning is this:
Weakness is not failure.
Rest is not quitting.
And faith doesn’t erase the struggle, it meets us in it.

This is an excerpt from a spoken word poem I wrote called Strong.
A reminder that the strength I was chasing was never meant to come from me alone.
For when I am weak, God is strong.

One of my favorite parts of this work is sharing these tools in community settings through speaking, workshops, and gatherings. 🎤

Faith + mental health + creativity = a powerful combination for peace.

Faith and mental health work together beautifully.

Here are a few simple ways to bring calm in moments of fear:
💖 Ground yourself with the 5-senses practice.
💖 Whisper a scripture-based breath prayer.
💖 Write or create as an act of release.
💖 Meditate on Isaiah 41:10.

Which of these could you try this week?

This weekend at our Creative Expressions Workshop, we reflected on Psalm 62:8:
“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”

Our theme was Untangle Your Emotions.

Using yarn, we explored how emotions can become tangled when we suppress, ignore, or try to carry them alone. But when we begin to name them and bring them into God’s presence, something shifts: The tangles soften, space opens, and clarity begins to grow.

This is why I love creating these spaces, not to fix emotions, but to give them room and to remind women that God is a safe refuge.

If you’ve been feeling tangled lately, this is your reminder: you don’t have to hold it all in. 💗

When fear creeps in, one verse that brings me comfort is Isaiah 41:10.
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

But I’d love to hear from you ⬇️
💬 What’s your go-to verse when fear tries to take over?

Fear has a way of making us feel alone, like we have to carry it all by ourselves.
But God’s Word reminds us: "Do not fear, for I am with you." (Isaiah 41:10)

This is why I’m so passionate about creating spaces where women can slow down and process emotions like fear, not by pushing them away, but by bringing them into God’s presence through creativity and community.

You were never meant to walk through fear alone.

👉 Save this reel for the moments when fear tries to creep back in.

Creative Expressions Workshop happening this weekend, a space to breathe, create, and be reminded you’re not alone. To those that signed up, I look forward to seeing you all there.

Heart to Art Collective was born out of my own journey, learning that faith and mental health don’t compete, they work together.

I’ve seen how creativity can open doors when words feel hard to find. How art can help us gently name fear, make space for hope, and invite God into the places we usually try to hide.

This space exists because women deserve somewhere safe to process what they’re carrying - fear, doubt, grief, joy... without pressure to have it all figured out.

My vision is simple: a community rooted in faith, grounded in mental health awareness, and open to creative expression as a pathway toward healing.

If you’re here, I want you to know this, you belong. And I’m truly honored to walk this journey with you. 🌿

This Valentine’s weekend, I’m reminded of a love that never fails - God’s perfect love. ❤️

For a long time, fear had a strong hold on me. I felt paralyzed, afraid to move forward, afraid to make the wrong decision, afraid of failing, letting others down, letting God down, or simply stepping into the unknown. Fear kept me stuck.

It wasn’t until I began to truly understand that the opposite of fear is love that things slowly started to shift.

Not love as a feeling, but love as a foundation.

When I started facing the unknown out of love, love for the people around me, love for God, and most of all, resting in God’s love for me, fear began to loosen its grip. Knowing that His love doesn’t change, no matter the outcome, gave me the courage to keep moving.

That doesn’t mean fear never shows up anymore. It still tries.

But now, when it does, I’m prepared. I know who to turn to. And I’m able to keep moving forward instead of staying stuck.

‘There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.’ (1 John 4:18)
