The latest CBO analysis paints a complex picture for our healthcare system. Yes — CBO estimates this will reduce federal spending by $183 billion, but increase the number of uninsured by 1.1 million. That tradeoff carries significant consequences.
One of the most concerning impacts is the pressure it places on states, many of which may be forced to lower provider reimbursement rates. Home health agencies and HCBS providers are especially vulnerable under these shifts. Reduced reimbursement threatens access, staffing, and ultimately the quality of care patients receive in their most vulnerable moments.
But at Royal Oaks Home Health, we refuse to let these challenges dictate patient outcomes.
Our mission has always been to expand access to home health services—not shrink it. We are dedicated to ensuring that our patients’ care is never compromised, regardless of policy changes or economic pressures. And we are equally committed to contributing to the broader fiscal solutions the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) seeks to address.

We have a solution.
Royal Oaks is developing an approach that improves outcomes, strengthens care coordination, and promotes cost efficiency — delivering both better care for seniors and additional savings to the Federal Deficit.

A Night at the Oak Violet Event

Last night, the Oak Violet event shimmered with a warmth that makes you believe in community all over again. It was a celebration not just of Kuman and his achievements, and all of the other events that collide there but of every thread that ties neighbors together—the shared meals, the spontaneous dance-offs, and the quiet conversations that reveal what people truly need from our systems.

We danced, of course.The eating came next, and I spoked with many community members, and their perspectives were a vivid reminder of why home health agencies matter. They spoke about coordinating care, ensuring comfort at home, and bridging gaps between patients, families, and clinicians. The voices were practical and hopeful, painting a picture of home health as a lifeline that keeps people connected to necessary care in the place they call home.

From those conversations emerged a bold conviction: this sector needs to be REVOLUTIONIZED. And in that moment, a quiet certainty settled in: Royal Oaks Home Health has a solution. People described pain points—communication delays, fragmented data, uneven access to resources—and I felt a rising confidence that innovation could streamline care, bolster safety, and anchor patient-centered decision-making at the core of every action.If Royal Oaks Home Health can translate these conversations into action, we may be on the cusp of a revolution in how care happens at home. And that realization glowed as brightly as the lanterns that lit the garden path last night.

We just applied for a $1,000 micro-grant through a foundation that brings together a global community of chapters supporting “awesome” projects. Each month, trustees personally fund and select innovative, community-driven ideas that create meaningful impact. Through this grant, we hope to advance Royal Oaks Home Health’s mission to expand equitable, technology-enabled home care access for rural & urban seniors across the nation.
