“At 19 years young, terminal lung disease was the least of my expectations. I lost my sense of identity while chasing an older version of myself I would never be again. But through these trials, I discovered a passion that has been bred in tribulations and triumphs: a career as a physical therapist. Once faced with the inevitable reality that life is indeed as short as we’ve always been told, we must stop living in pursuit of what we want but rather in fight for what we cannot live without. I have fought not only for my right to education, but for my opportunity to live and to love fully in all that I do. In the fullness of time, it is not my love for movement or dedication to academia that will make me into the impactful physical therapist I will become. Rather, it is the compassion that stems from the core of my being..."

We're shining the spotlight today on all of the incredible courses that happened over the weekend! 🧠

The two photos are from the Abilities Care training in Omaha, Nebraska! Around 55 attendees-- incredible turnout with folks coming from Kansas, Iowa, and all throughout Nebraska! Helping out with the teaching are two of our own—Master Clinician Lindsay Burson and Allie Piszczek, who's almost officially a Master Clinician!

The third photo is of the group attending a Lymphedema Certification in Idaho, and the last photo is from a Functional Core and Pelvic Floor for Seniors course in Texas. Keystone is looking forward to the impact of 16 more facilities incorporating assessment and treatment of the core for our seniors!
