EmbraceFamily Health We Help Parents Create Healthy Families What We Believe

We believe health is a birthright for everyone and that optimal health begins in the womb.

Your Personal, Expert Support Team for Pregnancy and Parenting
Who We Are

We are Board-certified doctors, licensed clinical experts, trained specialist providers and moms and dads committed to helping parents create the happiest, healthiest families possible. While family genetics plays an important role in health, mothers have the strongest influence on the health of her baby beginning with the earliest days of her pregnancy. We know that mothers crave expert, trusted information on how to best care for their children, but are inundated with conflicting advice. We also believe mothers need guidance and support on how to care for themselves as well baby. We believe parents and children deserve personalized healthcare based on their unique needs and preferences. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to raising a child. We think parenting is hard enough, no parent needs to feel judged because of the choices they make. We believe all parents and their children deserve unconditional love and support. We believe it takes a village to create healthy families. What We Offer Parents

We offer parents peace of mind and an instant lifeline to parenting sanity through our parent membership services and parenting support tools. Our membership gives parents highly personalized digital health guidance by stage of pregnancy, baby, and child. Our online health education classes are taught by top experts and teach parents exactly what they need to know when they need to know it. Members get 24×7 telehealth access to medical specialists as well as a virtual parent concierge service for mom-to-mom family support. We care for mothers so they can better care for their children with ongoing support. What We Offer Providers

We help obstetricians, pediatricians, primary care doctors and speciality providers support parents and their children starting in pregnancy and childbirth and throughout childhood. Our medically-sound, patient-friendly mobile health applications help providers proactively educate and empower their patients, increase patient engagement, improve healthcare quality and increase practice efficiency. Providers can join our network for free. How EmbraceFamily Was Born

EmbraceFamily was inspired by the experience of CEO Denise Terry, a technology startup executive and mom of twins, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jan Rydfors, a technology-savvy OBGYN who wrote the clinical handbook on OBGYN used by all OBGYNs during medical school. Denise helped launch several consumer and mobile technology startups before leaving tech to open a prenatal wellness and childbirth services business and supported hundreds of pregnant couples during hospital births throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She met Dr. Rydfors, one of the leading Silicon Valley OBGYNs specializing in high risk pregnancy and infertility. Dr. Rydfors is an advocate of mother-centric care and collaboration with midwives and doulas for the emotional and physical benefit of patients. Denise helped launch several more services-based as well as startup companies focused on parents and moms before becoming a mom herself. She chose Dr. Rydfors as her trusted obstetrician and he delivered her twins at 40 weeks after a healthy pregnancy and supportive and positive birth. Her twins are now eight years old. They teamed up to help co-create EmbraceFamily to support mothers, fathers and babies everywhere to grow into healthy families. Dr. Rydfors’ passion for helping moms have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies inspired him to create the company’s first product, Pregnancy Companion MD, a mobile medical app focused on helping pregnant mothers have the healthiest pregnancy and baby possible by having a digital obstetrician accessible 24×7 from iOS and Android smartphones. It’s the first and only pregnancy app created by a Board-certified OBGYN and answers nearly every question a pregnant mother would ask her own OB. Knowing how little time most patients get with their own OB, despite the hundreds of questions they have throughout the pregnancy, Dr. Rydfors realized he could help many more pregnant patients get the trusted information they often searched for on the Internet or forums but could not find from a highly trusted, medically-sound source like their own OB. The app has been used by more than half a million pregnant mothers and is available for free.
