One of the most common questions I hear is, “How many words should my child be saying?”

Here are some general language milestones:
• Around 1 year: 1 to 3 words
• Around 2 years: 50 words and starting to combine two words
• Around 3 years: 200 to 1,000 words with short sentences

If your child isn’t quite there, don’t panic-but trust your gut. Early support makes a big difference.

Una de las preguntas más frecuentes que escucho es: “¿Cuántas palabras debería decir mi hijo/a?”.

Aquí se presentan algunos hitos generales del lenguaje:
