It's unusual for us to leave registration open once a series has begun, but our current members are excited to build community, and want to meet anyone who feels called to meet and share support with other solo parents at this stage of the journey.

I created this group to meet the needs specific to solo parents with infants and toddlers, and our conversations range from mutual support and deep talks about the solo parent experience to sorting through childcare options and parenting approaches. ✨ It's official... I'm so happy to introduce this really-all-mine-for-the-first-time-ever office! ✨

I was worried about how the space would accommodate up to three adults, a baby and their assorted supplies, but tiny living must be agreeing with me because this is working so well. I'm now building up extra diapering, teaching, lactation and pumping supplies (see the adorable babies wearing my own baby's outgrown outfits, because why say goodbye when you can just dress up your dolls?). Next step is to get art on the walls, now that I've had my first month here, my signs are up, and I'm sure this is going to work well for my clients too. Yay!

This class is always super sweet to teach. I love holding space for newly trained Doulas and other Birth Workers to connect and learn in community.

Finding clients can be challenging when you’re new to the field and not yet or newly certified. Students that attend my Breast, Chest & Bottle Feeding for Birth Workers class are invited to list their info on my website, so they can more easily connect with potential clients, and so my pregnant clients can find birth and postpartum support with lactation and baby feeding training I feel confident in, and who may be willing to offer more accessible rates as they gain their experience for certification. It’s a win-win! 🤩

This one may be just for me, but I want it on record (to refer back to when he's saying he hates me twelve times a day in some adolescent future) that my 7 year old spontaneously decided to throw me a party this evening simply because I'm "a good mom," and he thought I deserved it. He even secretly roped in my mom, who very sweetly baked a cake on short notice, and he hosted a whole shebang, snacks, party favors and games included. (He kindly tore the cardboard off of the box so that I'd have a better chance of finally getting the ball in the goal.).

May I always know in my heart that there was a day when my child celebrated that I was his mom. 🥹🥰

First video call in my first office! I moved actual furniture in today (with the help of my amazing mom and brother), so that should be the only call I take with the iPad propped up on an upside down wastebasket on a tv tray, but I'm really happy I caught the moment. I've been renting other people's offices for over 20 years, and it's amazing and surreal to finally have my own (little) spot. More to come soon! 🥹
