Fridays typically bring us interesting guest speakers and it’s even more exciting when it’s our resident spotlight. Meet Richard who formerly worked at Intel and is now involved with a startup making great strides in Alzheimer’s research. He said there’s never been a more exciting time to be alive or a patient. He introduced us to his artificial intelligence partner Albert, talked about the latest approach of unfolding protein in the brain and compared it to taking a crumbled paper and turning it into an origami masterpiece. 💜

His big headline was not only are they finding ways to eliminate this disease years before it’s onset but are able to help late stage patients where they will once again recognize loved ones even if it’s only for a short period of time. Alzheimer’s research and progress is expected to make fast forward momentum using AI in the next few years.

Our screening room was packed with everyone leaving with renewed hope and promise after a stimulating question and answer session.

We saluted 16 of our veterans for their sacrifices and contributions and thanked nearly two dozen military spouses for their support with a heartwarming, patriotic ceremony. ❤️ Our newly formed Belmont Village San Ramon Chorus group made its debut by singing to each branch of service. We wrapped things up with “God Bless America” and a flag waving salute.
