It was touch and go as we dodged the raindrops until our Earth Day celebration started and a few came down. 🌎 We diligently went to work with our new beautiful blooms and then, the sun came out! 🌞 Chef Romeo and his team went up and above with some healthy snacks and a scrumptious chocolate mouse! We also resurrected our new Belmont Village garden sign in wake of our upcoming Garden Party Luncheon for Mother’s Day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lifelong learning session presented by Texas’ Rice University entitled “The Erosion of Trust in American News Media." Our discussion helped us conclude that the rise in popularity of the internet, along with thousands of emerging news sources, has contributed this. We also learned getting more information, including bios of journalists and continued accurate reporting, are ways we can generate more trust.

We were honored to host Rabbi Shmuli Raitman and his son from Chabad of Danville and San Ramon in preparation for Passover. He talked about the symbolism behind the Seder Dinner, the four questions and led us in song with traditional favorites. He also graciously gave us a take home treat from Israel which was so appreciated during this season of gratitude.
