Many routine labs miss early metabolic changes, and certain foods—even healthy ones—can still cause glucose spikes depending on timing, gut health, and insulin response. In my clinic, I often see patients surprised by how small changes in diet, meal order, and lifestyle can significantly improve metabolic stability. Best to eat foods that sre wholesome, and low carb to avoid the upswings of blood sugars.

Today’s salad bowl had sprouts with all the rainbow colored veggies. I added shredded carrots, purple cabbage, tomatoes a half avocado, onions and some slivered almonds and a teaspoon of chia seeds and flax seeds and dressing was very simple ( olive oil, lemon juice salt and pepper to taste, and a dash of vinegar to add a kick to the dressing)
When you make a salad, all the colorful veggies, nuts and seeds , they are your source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
Eat healthy and stay fit

Did you know that broccoli sprouts have way more antioxidants than broccoli? They are 20-100 times more powerful as broccoli contains sulphoraphanes that help reduce oxidative stress.

Great for diabetics, helps balnce the sugars better

So next time get some broccoli seeds and make some sprouts!

Today’s healthy breakfast! 2 eggs with lots of onions, mushrooms and tomatoes and on the side with 1/2 avocado and cucumbers.

Always start with a well balanced breakfast for your day, packed with nutrients and lots of water! This was after my long hike today
