It's been a while for me to post as I've been ensuring I'm healthy and ready to get back into helping clients achieve their best selves but I just wanted to help spread the word for this little gem I've found on my journey. I have been feeling a little low on the energy side of life this past week so I didn't do my usual Monday meal prep. Not only that my normal schedule is off because my crotch goblins are out of school for summer. After a particularly busy day I went to get something to eat and realized it's all "easy" foods, full of empty calories and preservatives and other junk that my body has a difficult time processing. So I grabbed my neighbor and ran up the street to the store, we grabbed a coffee and we both took a moment to just not be in the craziness for an hour and shopping with a friend is much more fun than shopping with kids. I got my groceries, came home and although that took all the energy I had, I made sure I washed and prepped my fruit before giving in to the exhaustion.

Point being is that meal prep doesn't have to be a huge elaborate event. Washing and cutting fruits that you would already do to enjoy is meal prep. I add mine to containers because my goblins will steal all the fruit if I don't put them in "Mommy Jars". This will be breakfast and or snacks over the next few days. Sometimes I'll eat it with a protein shake to get my protein portion other times I'll do greek yogurt.

If you're overwhelmed by the idea of meal prep start with one thing. On weeks I just don't have the energy I will prep for the one meal time I know I will avoid if I don't have something ready, breakfast. So start small, give yourself just 1 healthy meal or snack each week. You can cheat and buy precut fruits, veggies and meats too! There is no "wrong" way to do this.

I challenge you to pick one meal or snack to prep for the next 4-5 days. Take a picture and tag us. Show us what your prepping!

Ladies! Grab your yoga mat, your bestie and join me for our only summer event as temps sky rocket here in the valley of the sun. We are working on securing an indoor location and we'll end this amazing event with a guided meditation 🧘‍♀️ that will leave you relaxed and ready to take on the world.

We are planning for approx 3 hours so that everyone can go at their own pace and complete all 108 salutations. This can be a lot on your body so please bring whatever tools you may need to help you or DM me of you think you'll need something you don't have.

More than just aerial fitness. As summer approaches here in AZ aerial classes are suspended but that doesn't mean the work stops. Whether you're local and would like to increase your strength, flexibility and mobility in our fully equipped garage gym or you're not local and you want to take advantage of our virtual program we can help.

I know what it's like to be a busy woman, mom, wife and feel like taking care of yourself should be a back burner problem but after my 3rd kid I never felt further from the person I wanted to be for my kids and husband. When you join our aerial classes you get much more than a supportive, non-judgemental community of like minded women.

Aerial has so many benefits it was hard to narrow it down to just a few but not only does fully inverting completely decompress your spine in a safe and fun way it also massages your internal organs which leads to better digestion and less bloating.

It decreases your cortisol levels therefore decreasing your stress hormone which leads to bloat and the dreaded fupa.

Inverting also forces your lymphatic system to work in reverse with all the blood falling to the top of your body which increases your immune system and helps to detox your body.

Reducing stress hormones allows your body to relax and leads to better, uninterrupted sleep (unless you have littles, we can't help the night time feedings).

Your moving your body and burning more calories which automatically triggers your body to burn stored fat but by balancing your hormones it also triggers your metabolism to kick up a notch. When our bodies are out of balance our metabolism goes on strike.

And using the aerial silk as a tool helps you to get deeper into poses and can be a safety net as you're working to get that balance pose. We work every muscle (including the ones you didn't know you had) when flowing and you will notice you need the silk less and less for support on those once challenging balance poses.

Getting to your body goal is a personal choice. Everyone's goal is different, healthy and fit has a different definition for each person. Maybe you want to be able to get up and down off the floor with your little kids without issues, maybe you want to run a marathon, or maybe you just want to feel good in your own skin. The one thing every single goal has in common is no one can do it for you. We can encourage you, hold you accountable, gice you all the right tools but the only person that can make you get up every day and follow your nutrition plan, make it to the gym or fitness class, or set aside time to do your at home fitness plan is YOU.

Let's get you started on your body goals. We have aerial classes through middle of April, personal training all year long (in person or virtual), fitness and nutrition coaching all year long offered both in person or virtually. It's never too late to start working on you.
