Our Scientific Study Shows the Efficacy of the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method®.

271 people from various regions, backgrounds, and populations were included in this study. And 98% of study respondents found their EGCM session beneficial enough to participate in another EGCM Session.

The Equine Gestalt Coaching Method is a type of coaching that helps clients bring to their awareness emotional blockages and unfinished business that may be holding them back in their lives.

The personal work the Equine Gestalt Coaches guide their clients through is “in the moment”, deeply tied to somatics (body responses) and experiential in nature.

Equine Gestalt Coaching can be done in private or group settings. In either setting, the EGCM coach will make sure that the environment is safe, confidential, and nurturing, where you are treated with love and respect.

Because this type of coaching often immediately creates a release of energy and emotional blocks, clients feel as if they are leaving their past emotional pain in the sand of the barn where their session was held.

No horse experience is necessary to participate, and you won’t ride the horse during the session. However, if you own or ride horses, you might find a deeper connection to them after experiencing your session.

Such a beautiful way to express how we feel about our equine partners. They are made of a special kind of magic!

The One Who Remembers the Way

He looks at you
as if he has known you
before your first name,
before your fear learned language.

The wind has lived in his mane for centuries.
You can see it—
the way each strand carries a story
not spoken,
only endured.

His face is marked
with lines older than maps,
curving like rivers
that never forgot the sea.
These are not decorations.
They are prayers
pressed gently into flesh.

The elders say
the horse was born between worlds—
one hoof in the visible,
one hoof in spirit.
That is why he does not rush.
That is why he waits
until your breath remembers
how to be honest.

He carries no saddle,
no command,
only the quiet agreement
between heart and horizon.
When you stand before him,
your past does not chase you.
It listens.

Leaves gather in his shadow,
recognizing kin.
Even the silence bends closer.
The earth lowers its voice
when he breathes.

If you ask him for strength,
he will give you steadiness.
If you ask him for direction,
he will give you stillness
until the answer rises on its own.

He does not move you forward.
He reminds you
that you were never lost.

And when you turn away,

You may be thinking, “Isn’t a person’s resolution and intention the same?”

It’s easy to think so, since they are often times used in the same context.

But there is a subtle, yet significant, difference between the two.

According to an article by Inc., a resolution can be seen as "a demand that we place upon ourselves, and there is no room for failure. Yet, failure is pretty much inevitable."

A resolution is a specific goal that is firm and fixed. People often make resolutions because they feel something is lacking in their lives. Therefore, when you do not achieve the resolution that you have set, you may label it as a “failure.”

Great…so what’s an intention?

An intention is setting your attention towards a goal. It is an attitude. It is a way of being that helps you to focus your energy and powers toward achieving that goal.

An intention can be more fluid and allows for refinement and adjustments along the way. When you set an intention instead of a resolution, you stop thinking about wanting what you do not have and start channeling your energy toward what you want to achieve.

So go ahead, for this New Year, set yourself up for success by skipping the resolutions, and start setting New Year’s intentions. You may be surprised at what is possible for you in 2026! What would you like to create with your intention for 2026?

They aren't fancy. They didn't come with a high price tag. No years of professional training to install high-level skills. Mostly home trained with lots of sweat, tears & some cursing involved. Often stubborn, frequently frustrating, occasionally majestic & on rare occasions exhibit shining moments of brilliance.

These boys were born wild & free - you can still see it in their eyes & demeanor, in the way they pause to gaze out to the horizon, feel it in their presence, their stillness & especially when they run at full speed. They are silly, smart, crafty, intuitive & particular about who they like.

They fill my heart by doing nothing but simply existing. I feel blessed to call them mine. And on this National Day of the Horse they deserved to be celebrated as much as the dressage horses headed to the Olympics, the barrel horses flying through the pattern at the NFR, all of the highly-trained horses with 5-, 6- or 7-figure & higher price tags of any discipline. Because they are just as valuable in many other intangible ways that have nothing to do with a price tag.
