My Tarot Journey
Anyone who knows me, knows that Tarot is one of the FIRST things I started working with intimately when it comes to my craft, and while i usually dont follow any real spread, you could easily say that ive become very very good at this form of divination, and infact am rarely mistaken. I have several friends that come to me regularly for readings because they know im very, very in tune with my cards..
I worked with the Rider-Waite deck, because my grandfather gave it to me when I was like 8. I played with it for a couple years, and didn't really bond with it. The imagery was awesome but I didn't connect with it.
At 15, very shortly after the adoption, honestly i think it was the same day the judge signed the papers, my dad gave me a choice between 3 different types Dovination Cards. Tarot, Oracle, and Symbolon. I only knew what ther were AFTER I made my choice.
I held each deck in my hand for a good while trying to connect with them, like my dad had told me to in the moment. "Tale your time, feel the cards, do they apeak to you? Is it loud? Does it draw you in? (Paraphrasing) Not knowing what they were because each deck was boxed and in a fabric bag, but I feel like I knew that this was, more than anything, my official lesson in magic....Divination. Recently, my Aunt confirmed without realizing thats exactly what it was, as that what how Both of them were taught. Learn and become well versed in at least 1 divination tool of your choice.
The fisrt Deck was a set or Oracle Cards. If memory serves, the theme was Planetary. They are beautiful once i got to look at them. Stunning, realistic images of the plants. Saturn, Mars, and Naptune (i think they were because they didnt have the names of them i dont think) really stood out to me. Thebwere so pretty. And they had a vibe to them that they shared with me. It was Soft, casual, Burn ultimately not powerfull enough to pull me in.
The 3rd deck was the Symbolon. They defiantly spoke to me, but the energy was very Chaotic, static like if that makes sense. And upon looking at the cards, they were pretty, but had soooo much symbolism going on (hence the name) that they were very intimidating.
It was the Second deck I ended up choosing because when I picked thay bag up, in was instant and intense. It was as if I was Harry Potter and i was in Olivanders Fine Wands, and was handed the wand I was destined for, only these were tarot cards. Very quickly my bind with these cards built up. I have had to replace the dec 4 times. Twice due to wear and Tear of constant usage, and twice because they were lost during a move. But never have I had to really "rebuild" my connection because the imagery and I have such a powerful bond.
I used my Tarot in Charms, Invocations, Cleansings, Banishing, and many other spells. And have been known to do readings using anywhere between 5 and 20 cards. My system of reading is personal to me, and I take much pride in my abilities.
So when I see people doing these readings online, and they use all of this vague language that EVERYBODY and thier mother can relate to, it really bothers me because this is why the skeptics think we as Diviners, are scammers. But if you ask anyone who's gotten a reading from me, its no vague.
I can tell you things about you in full detail that you've never spoken a word to anyone about or have given no inclination is a thing. All through Tarot. Ask anyone who's received a reading from me. I dont tell you what you want to hear, if the cards have something unpleasant to say, then it is what it is.
Tarot, saved me from many moments where my life could have been ended. When I listened to the cards. And WARNED me about countless things that could have been avoided had I listened
So, when you come to me for a reading, just know your relieving a reading from someone whose been doing it for 14 years for meself, and for friends.
