In other words, it is better to have common sense, than as they say, "book sense."
Common sense is derived from intuition and life's lessons.
"Book sense" is derived from the classroom lessons.
The ideal situation is to have both.

Good morning and Happy Juneteenth 2020.

I stated earlier in the month that I wanted to be a part of the change and a contributor to the solutions affecting our community and our country.

Change is difficult, especially when we have to make individual changes in our mindset and our behavior.

This is the greatest country in the world due to contributions that so many races, cultures, genres and creative ideologies that has contributed to our country's success. I make my statement with the knowledge of knowing we have tremendous strives to make when it comes to equal justice, economic and social equality and overcoming discrimination and racism.

I have traveled around most of the world as an Army Soldier and federal civilian employee and I always wanted to come back to my country, my home; even with the issues we deal with as a country..

With that being said, I want to do my part in making my myself, my family, my community, my neighbors and our country the best it can be.

I am announcing the 2020 and Beyond, Community Wealth Building Initiative (CWBI) to assist African American communities in overcoming issues affecting our communities

Some 65% of black American residents live in 16 states that perform below the national average on measures of social, economic, and public health. And high-income black families are not even exempt: the average black family with a household income of $100,000 lives in a neighborhood where the average income is $54,000.

The 2020 and Beyond CWBI builds on local talents, capacities and institutions, rebuilding capital to strengthen and create locally-owned family and community owned businesses, create positive educational and vocational opportunities, improve access to public health and mental health facilities, increase individual and community wealth and leveraging our political clout

I will have my very first live Facebook post on June 27th at 7:00 PM to formulate the plan and strategies to turn our communities into the new Main Street. It will take a team to accomplish the work at hand to realize the dream.

It's time to stop talking about and start being about it.

Please share with your friends.

Have an amazing DAY

"SAY IT LOUD," Support black owned businesses.

June 19th 2020, stay tuned!!!
We have to create our own businesses, we have to create generational wealth.

Our masses can't continue to be consumers. We have to be the entrepreneurs/business owners to create wealth.

Rev. MLK, Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey all made it a focal point the we must be a community that can sustain itself.

I hear people sometimes say let's boycott certain businesses. When you depend on these businesses for basic necessities and there are no other viable options, how can it be sustained.

We (Blacks) control 1.2 trillion dollars each year. Let's put our resources together and do some big things with big ideas to create generational wealth.
