It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the passing of Reverend Jesse Jackson, a towering civil rights leader and global advocate for justice.

Rev. Jackson was an American civil rights activist, politician, and ordained Baptist minister. A protégé of Martin Luther King Jr. and James Bevel during the civil rights movement, he became one of the most prominent civil rights leaders of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

Thank you, Reverend Jackson, for being a beacon of hope. Your courage, compassion, and unwavering advocacy will continue to inspire us all. 🤍

On Monday Janus of Santa Cruz had the honor of joining our community on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and participated in the MLK People's March for the Dream Parade hosted by the Santa Cruz Chapter of the NAACP.

We also honored Dr. King's legacy through service and volunteerism following the parade by volunteering at the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Thank you, Dr. King, for your dedication to humanity. May your legacy live on forever.
