National Trails Day is June 7, 2025! 🪏
I'm stoked to start my 3rd year volunteering with ! This year will be a bit different - after saying hi to my crew at De La Veaga, I'll head to Woodhouse Brew to offer free MASSAGE to volunteers. Can't wait! 💆🏻‍♀️

My first two years were at Ramsey Park in Watsonville and Quail Hollow Ranch in Felton. 🌲

There's still time to register and work on some amazing trails. Plus, the raffle is 🔥 (I won last year!) and there are some epic prizes up for grabs, including an 85 Minute Therapeutic Massage. 🤗

Hope to see you there! Look for the booth and check the link in bio to volunteer.

Hiking up and out of Kern Canyon was going to be tough. During all the fire stress, I also realized that I did not have enough food for my planned 9 day itinerary!
So as I decided to stay on the trail & push through the smoke filled canyon, I also calculated & decided I can finish the trail in 6 days. This was my double day and the most challenging day of the High Sierra Trail.
18 miles of hiking and 7,471 ft of elevation gain as I was climbing out of the smoke filling canyon.

I barely had enough energy to make my dinner before climbing in my tent & there was a lot of wheezing that night. I made it & was happy to be surrounded by many others as I was now in the Whitney Zone!

Day 3 was super stressful.
Not knowing if I should turn around or keep pushing was the biggest concern on my mind.
I finally made my descent down to the bottom of the canyon and I got to filter water from the Kern River.

It was nice to see others at camp, including trail crew & that was definitely reassuring. 🏕 🎒

Day 2 on the High Sierra Trail

The views I anticipated were had on this day.
Hiking out if Bear Paw with 5 new friends from Austin. I saw the fallen bridge, the rock tunnel and Precipice Lake. It was epic and I kept telling myself “I am so fu***ng lucky”. You definitely gotta earn these views.

12.4 miles
5,995 Elevation Gain
Countless epic views

On August 20th I began my solo hike on the High Sierra Trail.
A 9 day adventure (that ended up turning into 6 days) to celebrate my 37th Birthday and it was pretty awesome.

I sobbed at the trailhead from being nervous, exited and curious about my solo trek.
Sequoia NP was smokey since I arrived the day before and I was skeptical about seeing some amazing views. My iphone Max 12 pro did make my photos appear with a “clearer” sky but the views were still extraordinary. 🤩 ⛰

I hiked 11.8 miles and climbed 4,749 feet to Bearpaw Campsite where I met two girls from LA and later, a group of 5 from Austin. I was stoked to see many other ladies going in the same direction as me! We even saw two bears passing by! 🐻 🐻

I recently scored a permit to solo hike the High Sierra Trail in August and I couldn’t be more stoked.

I’ll be on the trail to celebrate my 37th Birthday and I get to climb Mt. Whitney again!
The next 5 months will be training and a good excuse to complete the in SoCal!

Hiked to the Sierra Buttes Fire Lookout this past weekend.
The tower sits at 8,857 ft altitude and was definitely feeling the elevation on this 5.5 mile hike.
It was great to get out with my brew crew to celebrate a birthday.

This marks 13 documented hikes for this years but there have been many more.
