Character matters in business

We launched Hero Athletica with the goal to make the most comfortable and functional fitness clothing on the market, while using only truly eco-friendly fabrics and processes. Once we decided that, we than choose to take it another level and have every made in America. We are a small family-run brand based in Northern California, and wanted to be a part of supporting our great country. We could have made our clothing in Asia and it would have cost 50% less, but being made right here in California is important to us and we think it is to you too.

Next we had to design our pieces to be not only freakishly comfortable, but amazingly functional. To that end, we worked to make each piece bio-mechanically precise. When we made our leggings we used a fabric that is made 80% from recycled plastic bottles and 20% spandex, this allows for some of the most comfortable leggings you will every wear. When we designed our ABC leggings we focused on fixing three major issues that we had learned from surveying hundreds of women. First we addressed the waistline, we designed it to maximize the elasticity and minimize the rollover effect and the dreaded sag. Secondly we went to work on the complaint of some leggings being too shear... we found the optimal weight of the fabric to assure that our leggings are truly squat, downward dog, HIIT, Kettlebell, TRX, and CrossFit proof. The third problem that we attacked was the dreaded sag and or brunching of the crotch, we designed the crotch to move with you and find your natural position. We have been told by every person that has worn our leggings that they feel like a second skin, and that they love working or hanging out in them. We will continue to improve our designs, but we feel pretty darn good about our ABC Leggings line.
