When we experience emotional trauma or pain we tend to create a story around it. We take ownership of the emotion. In relationship the story could sound like: "It's not safe to trust," or "I need to sacrifice my needs to be loved." These stories have a way of weaving in and out of our subconscious mind, affecting every aspect of our lives.

So I invite you to examine your stories and ask yourself, what is true? What is true beyond the fear, defense mechanisms, and attachments.
