In Her Essence - Sharon Henderson Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, CHHC, AADP My passion is to "pay it forward" and help people by offering alternate, holistic approaches to good health.

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and am now a Board Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (CHHC/AADP). I experienced a personal health issue in 2010 which led me on a journey....a journey to wellness which opened the door to my life's purpose. As a Holistic Health Practitioner, and Medicinal Aromatherapist (CMA), I will teach you about the importance of clean eating and balancing "primary foods" as well as educate you on the healing benefits of 100% pure medicinal-grade essential oils. I'm excited to share this wealth of knowledge with you! If you desire to make a lifestyle change then you've come to the right place. I will work with you as a partner in your journey to good health because that will be my primary concern…your health. I will not be interested in just giving you a diet/meal plan and leaving it at that. I want to get to know you, how you think, how you feel, what has happened in your life to get you to where you are today, what your goals are, where you want to be 3 months, 6 months or even 2 years from now. The bottom line - as a health coach - I will look at every aspect of you, and your life, and work with you to make the changes necessary to get you firmly on that road to good health. One of the key benefits of working with me will be the incredible amount of support you will receive. Blessings,
Sharon

Did you know?
What powerful information to implement into your healthy cooking routine!

Crushing or chopping garlic and letting them sit a few minutes releases antiplatelet enzymes that help prevent coronary artery blockages. But whole garlic cloves, once they’ve been cooked offer no heart benefit at all. Neither does garlic that’s been microwaved. ⁣

A similar phenomenon occurs with broccoli. Studies show that chopping it up, then letting it sit for 40 minutes before cooking, releases the cancer-fighting compound sulforaphane, which would otherwise have been destroyed by cooking. Using precut, frozen raw broccoli is just as beneficial. ⁣

96 oz of celery juice 💚
16 oz/day = 6 days worth (enough to share!)
With a masticating juicer you can keep enzymes live for 3 days in the refrigerator. ✔

The main benefit of celery is its ability to cleanse the liver of toxins.

It’s important to drink fresh celery juice alone on an empty stomach in order to receive its healing benefits. Drink 16 ounces in the morning at least 15 to 30 minutes before breakfast.

If you drink your celery juice along with your breakfast, you would miss out on its full healing power. The same applies if you add anything to your celery juice, such as lemon, apple, kale, collagen, apple cider vinegar, or even water or ice. All of these additions lower or cancel out the benefits of pure, unadulterated celery juice consumed alone.

Drinking celery juice in the morning on an empty stomach is great because it has anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, the ingredients in this juice help improve skin health, improve the digestive tract's function, and help relax nerves, which are sometimes damaged due to unhealthy lifestyle and food choices.

I'm committed to doing this for 30 days
Excited to report results after 7 days

There has been alot of buzz recently regarding Cassava flour so I wanted to research and give you some of the important facts about this healthy flour!

🍠 First - let me educate you on exactly what Cassava is. The Cassava plant is a staple crop in South America and parts of Asia and Africa. The plant produces the cassava root (also known as yuca), a starchy, high-carbohydrate tuber which is similar to yam, taro, plantains and potato. As a tuberous root vegetable, cassava is gluten, grain and nut-free, as well as vegan, vegetarian and paleo -- all amazing! ✔

🍠 Many have asked me if Cassava flour is high in carbs...the answer is yes - complex carbs.

For example, per 100 grams, cassava has double the calories and carbs as sweet potato.

** That could mean an insulin spike for some, so
monitor your cassava intake if you’re following a low carbohydrate, low-sugar or Paleo-based diet.

🍠 Cassava flour is very mild and neutral in flavor, unlike other gluten-free flours such as almond or coconut flour. It’s also not grainy or gritty in texture - it’s soft and powdery. These qualities, along with the fact that it can be replaced on a 1:1 basis with wheat flour in many recipes, make cassava flour a preferred flour for gluten-free, grain-free baking and cooking. It’s also a great nut-free flour. And as always, a quality product matters!

I hope this was helpful! If you're a fan of , please share some of your favorite recipes in the comments.

Who's with me?

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." ~ Gen 1:29

I'm preparing for a mild "detox" to give my body a re-boot from the not-so-healthy decisions I chose over the past month. We've all been there...[ ], the holidays, the office goodies that are ever-present all year long, the "quick fix" while running errands...the list goes on, right?

I know my body, I know what signs to be aware of, and I know how to pay attention to my red flags when they present themselves. As a health and nutrition coach, I have learned how to be proactive with my own health. I've experienced first-hand what it feels like to feel really good and what it feels like to not feel my best.
I now know how to take control over my own well-being and I would like to share my knowledge with you.

I'm preparing for a 3-day food cleanse...who wants to join me?

Quick read, but probably one of the most important health-related ones you will read today! I've been doing my best to get this message out over the past few years. Drinking warm lemon water every morning has been one of the best "health insurance" plans I could enroll in for my body...that, and monitoring what goes in and on it. Clean eating is key!
Keeping the body in an alkaline state is what your goal should be for 2019 💓

Cancer is caused by acidity in the body, according to the findings of, Dr. Otto H Warburg, a Noble Prize Laureate. Cancer cells are anaerobic, which means that they don’t breathe oxygen. Therefore, they cannot thrive
