This quote felt so good to hear today.
Let's remember it's not luck but a lot of unrecognized hard work before the outward recognition.
Your first 5 or 10 years might be supported by 10, 20, 100 or 1000 of your first clients who believe in you. They help you grow as you continue to lay that foundation.
But in all honesty, most clients/customers want to buy into the foundation already laid and solid for them to walk into. They want to feel the confidence you poured into it not knowing it took years and years. The assurity that everything will be top notch and absolutely the best you can serve is the guarantee a lot of potential buyers are waiting for.
It doesn't matter if you offer a product or service, education or opportunity. Just remember your effort is leading you to your goal and you might all of a sudden be that overnight success. I hope I'm ready for it. I hope you're ready for it. I hope we all cheer each other on as we grow together.
Hope this quote brings a breath of fresh air to you today too. I feel a little weight lifted off my shoulders.
I got a nudge a year ago it was time to raise my prices. I hesitated because I listened to the professionals that said, "don't raise your prices until you're booked out". So I waited and waited and waited.
I finally felt aligned, it wasn't because I was solidly booked out 3 months in advance with a long waiting list. I finally felt the value of services matched.
And as soon as I did that, a long time coaching client said, "I'm not paying you enough, I want to pay you more".
I said, "I'm not having you pay more. You've been dedicated and been with me for a long time. You get to keep your pricing. That's the perk of being consistent."
Where was this coming from?
She said, "No you just deserve more. What can I pay you?"
I told her about my new pricing and she happily exclaimed, "yes! That's what I was thinking!"
When your spirit, mind and heart align, others align with you. Let the shift happens friends. Layer by layer.
