Things have felt calm for literally a week, but that’s plenty of time for my brain to decide it’s time for another baby😏

I’m not saying someone is lukewarm if they aren’t constantly talking about Jesus. But if you claim Christ yet cringe or feel annoyed when others speak openly about Him, that may be worth some honest self-reflection.

I’ve been thinking about how we guide our children. Discipline, discipleship, discernment—these words all share the Latin root disc, meaning to learn, to understand, to become acquainted with.

Parenting isn’t about control or “getting them to behave.” Discipline is the guidance that helps children learn how to think and choose, discipleship is the relationship that helps them practice those choices, and discernment is the fruit of it all—the ability to make wise decisions on their own.

Small, consistent moments of teaching matter more than perfection. Every correction, conversation, and example we set is shaping a learner who can one day discern truth and walk wisely.

God doesn’t just hand us wisdom fully formed. He disciplines, He teaches, He invites us to practice following Him, and then He gives the gift of discernment—the ability to see clearly what is true, good, and wise.

I wonder—how would parenting change if we focused more on learning and growth instead of behavior and control?

Real talk.

I can’t blame a dysregulated nervous system when I’m the one actively dysregulating it.
Staying up too late.
Scrolling for hours.
Being half-present with my family.

I can’t have a calm nervous system or be the parent I want to be while staying enslaved to habits I know aren’t serving me.

My biggest goal for 2026 is to start my mornings in prayer and the Bible—not by reaching for my phone.

Because how do I expect to hear God in the everyday moments if those moments are spent consuming content?

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)

“Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.” (James 4:4)

#2026

The past month has been one of the most intense and transformative seasons of my spiritual journey.

2025 was about tearing down habits that no longer served me, so I could make room for the growth I know 2026 will bring.

When I set my intentions last night, I knew this: delaying action—even by one day—would mean breaking the promise before the year even started.

It also helps if your daughter has the best big cousin in the world to experience it withđŸ„č

We bought these tickets 6 months ago and I was so concerned that it would be too loud or overwhelming for Indie, but she had a BLAST!

I’m so grateful to and for making this such an unforgettable night!đŸ€â„ïž

I’m a stay-at-home mom and I believe in traditional values.

But having roles you’re primarily responsible for doesn’t mean you shouldn’t know how to step up if your teammate ever needs you.

If a mom is sick or postpartum, her husband should know how to keep things running while she recovers.

And if—God forbid—something ever happened to a husband, his wife should know how to access and manage the finances.

Division of labor doesn’t mean being helpless without the other person.

Marriage is teamwork.

Every player has a position—but every player still needs to know what’s happening on the field.

Everyone loves to receive a gift.
Few realize the joy is in the giving🎄🎁

Imagine getting smokers lips when you don’t even smoke😭😭😭

Fun fact: last Christmas, I got my mom and sister a fancy straw that prevents pursing your lips when drinking(to prevent wrinkles). Now I’m mad I didn’t get myself one.

Guess who got to drink her coffee hot this morning😏
