This course will be loaded with lots of information to help students prepare for jobs in both the front and back end of a healthcare facility.

On Days 1 and 2, students will learn around the revenue cycle which includes patient registration, insurance benefit verification, payment posting, denial management, EOB interpretation and more. This skills are vital for anyone working the front desk or in a billing department.

On Days 3 and 4, students will learn about the back end/clinical side of a facility. They will learn medical terminology, how to obtain patient vitals, patient care skills, along with the daily responsibilities of a Medical Assistant.

This course will help students to prepare for the CMA certification exam.

On Day 4, our Human Resources Professional, Kadatra Ortiz will work with students on resume writing and interview preparation skills. Students will also participate in mock interviews as we work to help them prepare for interactions with potential employers.
