My Morning Routine ☕🐶

Every morning, the first thing I do is pour myself a cup of coffee and sit with my dog, Sonny. It’s our little ritual—just me, my caffeine, and my loyal companion by my side.

The caffeine in my coffee wakes me up, sharpens my focus, and gives me the energy to take on the day. At the same time, having Sonny next to me isn’t just comforting—it’s actually good for me! Spending time with him releases oxytocin, the “love hormone,” which lowers stress and boosts overall well-being.

This quiet time is when I do my best thinking, planning, praying, and meditating. I try (not always successfully) to avoid checking emails, scrolling through social media, or diving into the news first thing. Starting my day with intention instead of distraction makes all the difference.

It’s not just about taking down the hump! True artistry in rhinoplasty surgery requires looking at every aspect of the nose from multiple angles and positions and then using intricate surgical maneuvers to create a nose with soft features that is individualized and not only fits the patients face but their personality! In this particular case, many rhinoplasty surgeons would just take down the hump, but I would argue that the subtle tip modifications made here are just as important in the overall result. Gentle and precise technique certainly improves recovery and likely the overall outcome - look at the minimal bruising and swelling in the immediate after photo. Without a doubt training and experience matter in this challenging and imperfect operation… trust your nose and face to a specialist!

To say, I’m proud of my children is an understatement! Today we had Matthew‘s Junior class ring ceremony and Sydney came home from college last night to present him with his ring. There are times when I miss the days when they were little, but each stage of parenthood brings new joys! Last night when Sydney got home and the two of them decided to hang out and play music together. It was so amazing to see and reflect on what they have become in life.

Got tired eyes??? Check out these Upper Blepharoplasty Results. A seemingly straightforward procedure that is designed to reverse the age related or genetic upper eyelid changes. As a stand alone procedure this can be performed in the office under local anesthesia like was done with this patient with only about 1-2 weeks of social recovery. The true artistry comes with meticulous incision placement and determining exactly how much tissue is needed to be removed. If too much skin or fat is removed, it can hollow out the eyes and patients will actually look older. Trust you face to a specialist!

Great weekend in NOLA at the annual AAFPRS meeting… lots of learning from and connecting with colleagues from all over. It was a beautiful weekend for some sightseeing and the “Swifty” invasion definitely added to the party scene of this fun town!
