The "Perfect Week" Trap

The Challenge: "I need to have a perfect week of eating and exercise to make progress."

Why It Happens: We've been conditioned to think transformation requires perfection. Social media shows us highlight reels, not the messy middle. Plus, all-or-nothing thinking feels safe because it's black and white - no gray area to navigate.

The Shift: What if progress was about showing up consistently, not perfectly? What if three good days were infinitely better than zero days waiting for the "perfect" week?

The Action: Try the "good enough" rule. Aim for 80% consistency instead of 100% perfection. A 15-minute walk counts. A handful of vegetables with takeout counts. Drinking an extra glass of water counts.

The Result: My clients who embrace "good enough" make sustainable changes that stick for years, not weeks. They build confidence instead of shame. They create momentum instead of starting over every Monday.

Progress over perfection isn't just a nice saying - it's the path to lasting change.
