Raw Vegan Pecan Pie Order Request!

It is the end of August and Leo Season is Over!

My birthday was very reflective and I’m now in the 40 club!

What have I been doing?

Working, Planning, Parenting, and striving to be more intentional with making time for myself.

I realized that this month marks 13 years on my plant-based journey.

13 years ago I moved to a new city striving to make new beginning for myself. I had my journal and vision. Within 3 months I had a new apartment and 2 jobs at the time. When I shifted my mindset and my diet, my life catapulted.

Now 13 years later and my life has changed drastically. However, I am in the energy of new beginnings like I was in 2012 and I am excited for what I am doing that will advance my life path. This time, I am older, wiser, self assured, and clear on what is for me and isn’t. I give thanks!

After driving back from Florida and going straight to Zuriyah’s open house for the new school year, she made another vegan pizza. It is not completely from scratch but all ingredients are vegan. The crust is the Banza brand, 365 pizza sauce, field roast pepperoni, and violife mozzarella. She enjoyed of course. I didn’t even think to take a picture of it when it was done.

I am thinking about making my own raw vegan pizza for my birthday. Let’s see how I feel by the time it gets here on the 19th. Picture for reference of what I would make.

Yesterday after running errands including back to school shopping, I decided to dine in at Chopt. It was super hot and I was hungry. I normally grab an avocado wrap from Kroger but they didn’t have anything.

I normally do pickup orders but I decided to order in the restaurant and dined in. It was a smooth experience and I came at the perfect time because no one was really there. Right when I got my food the rush came in. It seems like you get more in bowl when you dine in or is it me? I also realize that this is the first time in a long time that I was able to eat something I enjoyed in a restaurant by myself. There aren’t any raw options in Savannah so this is a treat for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and just a moment to breathe.

Mini Haul from Forsyth Park Farmers Market on Saturday. I purchased seaweed kimchi, tucci green juice (super yummy), okra, peaches, pecans, vegan chocolate chip cookie for Zuriyah, watermelon juice (not pictured), and heirloom tomato.

Mini Haul from The Midtown Farmers Market in Daffin Park. It ends at 7 pm. I have a few items from local vendors. Dr. Farm Tree of Life tea is great. Zuriyah had the Sunny Day. I also got two cashew popsicles for Zuriyah from Earthfed (strawberry and chocolate) along with plant based parmesan. I also grabbed some fresh banana peppers. This is a new farmers market and I can see it growing.
