Speaking or commenting negatively about a fellow physician has never been my thing. But this is about speaking up for sexual and child

Why are others who have been such big health advocates with huge platforms not saying anything?

Share with someone who always smells so good!

Let’s talk about perfume and cologne on your neck.
Most fragrances are not just “scent.” They’re complex chemical mixtures, often containing phthalates, synthetic musks, and undisclosed fragrance compounds used to make the smell last longer and project farther.

These chemicals are known endocrine disruptors. They can be absorbed through the skin, enter the bloodstream, and interfere with hormone signaling. When fragrance is repeatedly applied to the neck, you’re placing these compounds directly over the thyroid gland a hormone-sensitive organ that plays a central role in metabolism, energy, mood, fertility, and weight regulation.

Research has linked chronic exposure to fragrance chemicals with altered thyroid hormone levels, disrupted estrogen and androgen signaling, and increased oxidative stress. The issue isn’t occasional use. It’s daily, long-term exposure, especially in an area with thin skin and high blood flow.

If you wear fragrance every day, consider where you apply it and what’s in it. Cleaner formulations, lower frequency, or applying to clothing instead of skin can meaningfully reduce hormonal burden over time.

Small habits. Real impact.

Save and share with someone who is still using plastic water bottle

🔬 Science shows the average person unknowingly ingests ~39,000–52,000 microplastic particles per year just from food and water. If you regularly rely on single-use plastic water bottles, that intake can jump by ~90,000 extra microplastic particles per year compared to tap water drinkers.

💡 Why this matters:
• Microplastics and nanoplastics from bottle plastic (PET/HDPE) and caps are tiny enough to enter tissues and circulate in the body.
• These particles may contribute to inflammation, oxidative stress, hormone disruption, and immune effects, though long-term human health outcomes are still being studied.

👶 Kids are MORE affected:
• Children drink more water relative to body size and have developing organs and detox systems — meaning the same number of microplastics results in higher exposure per body weight.
• Early exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals (often bound to microplastics) has been linked with impacts on development, metabolism, and immune function.

This was me dancing pre baby at the Lincoln center!

Engaging in jumping exercises for just 10 minutes, three times a week, can be a game-changer for women looking to reduce their risk of osteoporosis. Imagine bouncing around like a kid on a trampoline. each jump isn’t just fun; it’s a powerful way to boost bone density! Research shows that these high-impact activities help stimulate bone formation and keep those bones strong and healthy, especially important as we age and face the natural decline in estrogen levels.

But it’s not just about the science; it’s about finding joy in movement! Picture yourself skipping, jumping rope, or even doing a little dance; these activities not only elevate your heart rate but also build resilience in your bones. So, whether you join a jump rope class, bounce on a mini-trampoline, or just have fun in your living room, those 10 minutes could be your ticket to healthier bones!

I see so many people in my clinic for this exact reason. Hair everywhere. Ponytail shrinking. Shower drain panic. A widening part they swear wasn’t there last year. And almost every single person says the same thing.

“I guess this is just aging.” It’s not. Hair loss is one of the most misunderstood and dismissed symptoms in medicine. And yes, we absolutely want to get to the root cause, not slap a trendy solution on top.

First, let’s clear something up

Hair loss is a symptom. Comment HAIR to learn common cause, labs to get, what supplements work!
